140W charger with a beautiful OLED display! Alza started selling this new product

Two USB-C cables and one USB-A cable can be plugged into the same wall charger. The black PORT CONNECT GaN2 adds an OLED display to this setup and costs 2,075 CZK without a discount code or membership on Alza. The store labels it as a new product.

Quick summary:
✅ Makes sense for: households with both USB-C and USB-A cables that want to connect both types to a common adapter.
⚠️ Consider: the stated 140 W is the total power of the charger, not the documented power of each output.
💡 Alza states supplier stock, not its own stock. Therefore, when ordering, assess availability based on the offered delivery date.

USB-A doesn’t have to give way to newer cables

The pair of USB-C ports supports Power Delivery 3.1, while USB-A has Quick Charge 3.0. The separate USB-A output is useful when you still use a cable with a larger connector alongside USB-C cables. You don’t have to change it to connect to the adapter.

Power distribution is key for simultaneous charging

An open question remains how the total 140 W will be distributed when multiple connectors are occupied. If you want to use the adapter for more demanding devices and simultaneously connect other electronics, the power of individual outputs during simultaneous use is a piece of information worth verifying before purchase.

Do you still use USB-A for chargers, or is USB-C enough for you now?
