A large monitor with a resolution of 2560 × 1440 pixels doesn’t have to cost over three thousand. The twenty-seven-inch AOC Q27B35E with an IPS panel will cost 2,190 CZK with code ALZADNY30; without the code, Alza sells it for 3,129 CZK, so the code saves 939 CZK. For that price, you get a monitor built mainly for work and movies. With a 75 Hz refresh rate, it is not designed for fast gaming.

Quick summary:
✅ Makes sense for: a home office or undemanding photo editing. For 2,190 CZK with the code, it offers QHD resolution, an IPS panel, and according to the seller, 98.9% Adobe RGB coverage.
⚠️ Consider: 75 Hz is not enough for fast games. The stand also only allows tilting.
💡 An HDMI cable is included in the package, and Alza states a 3-year warranty, which also applies to companies.

QHD on 27 inches and decent colors on paper

2560 × 1440 resolution on a 27″ diagonal is recommended for detailed work and multimedia. The IPS panel has 178° viewing angles, and the image should remain consistent even when viewed from the side. This is useful when multiple people are looking at the monitor or if it’s positioned slightly off-center from you. The display surface is anti-reflective.

For a monitor costing two thousand, the color specifications are surprisingly ambitious. The seller states coverage of 124.7% sRGB, 89.6% DCI-P3, and 98.9% Adobe RGB. The panel has an eight-bit color depth for 16.7 million shades. These are declared values, not measurements by a calibrator. Even so, it’s a good starting point for home photo editing.

75 Hz and Adaptive-Sync are sufficient for work and occasional gaming

The 75 Hz refresh rate is intended to provide slightly smoother motion compared to standard 60Hz monitors. Adaptive-Sync technology synchronizes the image with the graphics card, so there should be no tearing during gaming. This is sufficient for occasional gaming. Those who play fast-paced action games should look for at least a 120Hz model.

Consider HDR10 support more as an item in a specification table. The maximum brightness is 300 cd/m², while the seller, in their own explanation, states that for HDR content, brightness above 400 nits is crucial.

The stand only tilts, but the monitor can be mounted on an arm

The stand is basic: you can tilt the screen from -5° to 25°. Those who want to raise the monitor to eye level or save desk space can use the VESA 100 × 100 mm mount. With a weight of 3.03 kg, it’s a light piece. A Kensington lock is also suitable for the office.

You can connect it via one HDMI and one DisplayPort; an HDMI cable is included in the package.

Is a 75 Hz monitor sufficient for your work, or would you only go for a higher refresh rate now?
