65″ Samsung OLED for half price! It has 144 Hz, excellent brightness, and integrated AI Home News 65" Samsung S90F OLED dropped from 65,000 CZK in April to 32,350 CZK - 50% discount QD-OLED panel offers more vibrant colors than classic OLED, but lacks Dolby Vision Ideal for gamers - 144Hz, VRR, ultra-low response time under 5ms Sdílejte: Jakub Kárník Published: 27. 9. 2025 22:30 Advertisement While checking prices on Heureka, one thing struck me. Samsung QE65S90F, a premium OLED television that cost 64,990 CZK in April, is now available from 32,350 CZK. Half price in six months? That’s extreme even for rapidly depreciating electronics. Let’s see if it’s a great opportunity or if such a price drop has a reason. QD-OLED Panel The S90F uses a QD-OLED panel – Samsung combines quantum dots with OLED technology. The result is more vibrant and brighter colors than classic WOLED panels from LG. DCI-P3 coverage is 98%, which is excellent. Brightness reaches a peak of 1600 nits in a small area, which is decent for OLED. In practice, this means HDR content truly “pops” from the image. Contrast is, of course, infinite – each pixel can turn off completely. KOUPIT SAMSUNG OLED TV The catch? The anti-reflective coating works well against direct reflections, but in a brightly lit room, black turns into dark gray. This is a problem with all QD-OLED panels – LG’s WOLED performs better in this regard. Gaming Beast with 144Hz For gamers, the S90F is a dream. 144Hz refresh rate in game mode, VRR support (HDMI Forum VRR, FreeSync, and G-Sync), and most importantly, a response time of under 5ms at 120Hz. Four HDMI 2.1 ports mean you can connect a PS5, Xbox Series X, PC, and still have one left over. Samsung also added a Game Bar for quick in-game settings adjustments. The only problem? With Game Mode enabled, the TV slightly reduces HDR brightness. The difference isn’t dramatic, but perfectionists will notice. Missing Dolby Vision Hurts Samsung traditionally does not support Dolby Vision. Instead, it pushes HDR10+, which hardly anyone uses. Netflix, Disney+, and Apple TV+ heavily rely on Dolby Vision, so you miss out on dynamic HDR for a lot of content. KOUPIT SAMSUNG OLED TV For Xbox Series X owners, it’s doubly frustrating – the console supports Dolby Vision for both games and movies, but you won’t get anything out of it on a Samsung TV. Tizen and AI Features The Tizen system is advanced and fast. All streaming services are here, and Czech applications like Oneplay or SledováníTV work. Samsung Vision AI promises smart image enhancement using the NQ4 AI Gen3 processor. The solar-charging remote control is a great idea – you never have to deal with batteries. Verdict: Great TV, Even Better Price The Samsung S90F for 32,350 CZK is an excellent buy. You get premium OLED technology, great gaming performance, and vibrant QD-OLED colors for a price that average LED TVs cost a year ago. KOUPIT SAMSUNG OLED TV The missing Dolby Vision is a shame, but not a dealbreaker. If you play games or mainly watch YouTube and Netflix (where there’s a lot of HDR10 content), you won’t mind. For Apple TV+ fanatics or Xbox Series X owners, I would rather recommend LG. For 32,000, you simply won’t find a better picture. If you’re hesitating, don’t wait too long – it won’t last at that price. What do you think of this Samsung OLED TV?
