If you are looking for a really large TV for your living room and don’t want to spend over sixty thousand, we have a tip for you. The Samsung QE85QN70F with an 85-inch (215 cm) diagonal can be purchased according to Heureka from just 36,140 CZK. The original recommended price was 59,990 CZK. The discount is a decent 23,850 crowns.

What you get for 36 thousand crowns

It is a Neo QLED TV with Mini LED backlighting, offering 4K Ultra HD resolution (3840 × 2160 pixels) and a refresh rate of 100/120 Hz. In gaming mode, you can even reach 144 Hz, which will be appreciated by owners of new-generation consoles and PC gamers.

The TV supports HDR10+ and features local dimming technology, so contrast and black levels should be solid. The NQ4 AI Gen2 processor is responsible for the image, which, according to Samsung, uses 20 neural networks to optimize the picture. In practice, this means AI upscaling to 4K for lower-resolution content or automatic adjustment of brightness and contrast according to the scene type.

AI features you might use

Samsung packed a number of AI gadgets into the QN70F. Some are useful, others more of a marketing gimmick. The enhanced Bixby voice assistant can process multiple commands at once – in practice, this means you can say “turn on Netflix and lower the volume to 20%” and the TV will understand, but it still doesn’t support Czech.

More interesting is adaptive sound, which, according to Samsung, recognizes the type of sound (dialogue, music, explosions) and adjusts it according to the room’s acoustics. Whether it works better than a manual equalizer is debatable – but at least you don’t have to adjust the volume for every scene.

Then there’s the AI wallpaper generation feature – you enter keywords, and the TV creates a background image. Its usability is questionable, but at least it looks better than a black screen. And if you have a dog at home, it will appreciate the barking recognition feature – the TV will play your pet’s favorite content when it’s left alone at home. Will anyone actually use this? Hard to say.

Gaming features and connectivity

The QE85QN70F has 4× HDMI 2.1, so you can connect consoles and PCs without compromise. It supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and VRR (Variable Refresh Rate), which means smoother, tear-free images. Samsung also states Ideal for PlayStation 5 certification – in practice, this mainly means optimized settings for the Sony console.

For wireless connectivity, you’ll find Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth, and Apple AirPlay 2 support. The Tizen Smart TV platform offers apps like Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, or Czech Oneplay, Kuki, and SledováníTV. According to Samsung, the operating system will receive up to 7 years of updates, which is a decent guarantee of long-term support.

Why the discount?

The QE85QN70F model is from the 2025 model year, so it’s not a discontinued item from the past. A more likely explanation is warehouse clearing or competitive pressure – similarly large TVs from Chinese brands can be purchased for under 30 thousand crowns. Samsung maintains a premium image but must react to the market.

Another factor is simply reality: an 85-inch TV is not for everyone. You need space for it – the recommended viewing distance for comfortable viewing is at least 2.5 to 3 meters. In a smaller living room, you’ll feel like you’re sitting in the front row of a cinema. Plus, its weight of 42.3 kg and dimensions of 190 × 114 cm – expect that wall mounting will require two people and a proper VESA 600×400 mount.

Is it worth it?

If you have the space and are looking for a large panel with Mini LED and decent gaming features, the Samsung QE85QN70F for 36 thousand is an interesting offer. You won’t get top-tier OLED contrast or 8K resolution here, but don’t expect it at this price. It’s a reasonable compromise between size, features, and price.

So yes – if you want a large TV and don’t want to spend over fifty thousand, check out Heureka and compare current offers. A 23 thousand discount isn’t seen every day.
