A fitness tracker for a few hundred crowns is one of the easiest ways today to start tracking your activity, sleep, or heart rate. The Huawei Band 10 dropped to 699 Kč with code ALZADNY20, which puts it in a category where you don’t have to think about whether to try it. For that price, you get an AMOLED display, two-week battery life, and measurements that are standard for trackers twice as expensive.

Quick summary:
It makes sense if you want an overview of steps, sleep, and heart rate without investing in expensive sports watches.
⚠️ Consider that the tracker does not have its own GPS – route data is taken from the phone, so it’s not suitable for running without a mobile phone.
💡 For 699 Kč, it is one of the best-equipped fitness trackers under a thousand crowns.

What you get for 699 Kč

The Band 10 is 14 g light, 8.99 mm thin, and you’ll truly forget it’s on your wrist – even during sleep. The 1.47″ AMOLED display with a resolution of 368 × 194 px is readable in sunlight and at night, supports Always On Display, and has over 700 watch faces in the app (including the option to upload your own photo as a background). It continuously measures heart rate, blood oxygen level (SpO2), sleep quality including phases, stress level, and also has menstrual cycle tracking. 5 ATM (50 m) water resistance means you can swim with it comfortably – swimmers will appreciate automatic stroke recognition.

Battery life is a strong point for this tracker. 14 days in typical usage mode, 8 days with active heart rate and sleep tracking, only 3 days with Always On Display. Full charge in 45 minutes via magnetic cable, 5 minutes of charging gives you another two days of operation. The Huawei Health app works in Czech and is available for both Android and iOS.

What’s worth mentioning

The tracker does not have its own GPS – to record a route, you need to pair it with a phone that provides GPS. For running or cycling, where you take your mobile phone anyway, this is not a problem, it’s just good to know beforehand. User reviews repeatedly mention the necessity of installing the Huawei Health app via Huawei App Gallery (not Google Play), which confuses some users – you can download the app from the Huawei website via a QR code in the manual or directly from the App Gallery.

A minor detail mentioned by a few users in reviews – in direct summer sunlight, the tracker may overheat and shut down. This is not a common phenomenon (it affected a few units out of 68 ratings), but it’s worth mentioning if you plan all-day outdoor use in hot summer weather.

Verdict

The Huawei Band 10 for 699 Kč is an ideal entry into the world of fitness trackers or an accessory for people who don’t want to spend thousands on flagship sports watches. For basic monitoring of steps, sleep, and heart rate, plus motivation for movement, the features are fully sufficient.

Are basic features under a thousand crowns enough for you in a smartwatch, or would you rather invest in more advanced ones?
