A great phone for undemanding users? Infinix introduced a new device with Circle to search and 5G for a few bucks Home News Infinix smartphones are only slowly penetrating our market, but globally they are doing very well The new Infinix Hot 60i 5G is definitely not aimed at demanding users, yet it offers several unprecedented features for its price Whether it will arrive here is not yet known, but older models of the series are available on our market, so we can hope Sdílejte: Vašek Švec Published: 24. 8. 2025 04:30 Advertisement The Infinix brand, along with Tecno, forms the backbone of the Transsion conglomerate, one of the largest smartphone manufacturers in the world. Although both brands offer better-equipped models, their core focus is on lower and mid-range smartphones with an emphasis on the best possible price/performance ratio. And that perfectly describes the new Infinix Hot 60i 5G, which offers incredible features for its price. At its heart is an old-new Mediatek First and foremost, I must mention 5G support associated with the quite capable Mediatek Dimensity 6400 chipset. Although it’s a solution introduced this year, it’s essentially a 6nm Helio G99 with just a more modern modem and a slightly overclocked processor. Given that the Infinix Hot 60i 5G operates in price ranges where the outdated 12nm Helio G85 has reigned for years, this is truly a significant performance leap. It’s a shame, however, that the new device is only offered in a variant with 4 GB RAM and 128GB eMMC storage. Here, though, the option to expand the operating memory with an additional 4 GB of virtual RAM could help at least a little. The information about the camera used also sounds quite interesting. Although we don’t know the specific model of the 50MPx sensor, the f/1.6 aperture and PDAF support don’t sound bad at all. The second lens on the back will likely belong to some “auxiliary” sensor. The 6,000 mAh battery is also pleasing, albeit with support for only 18W charging, as is the increased protection against water and dust with IP64 certification. A fingerprint reader integrated into the power button has also not been forgotten. The display is somewhat more in line with its price category. While it offers a 120Hz refresh rate and a 6.75″ diagonal, it only has HD+ resolution, meaning the image sharpness corresponds to 240 pixels per inch. It is, of course, an IPS panel. Interestingly, the manufacturer states Always-on display support. Infinix also boasts AI features like object removal from photos or, conversely, photo expansion, even on such an inexpensive phone. Personally, I was pleasantly surprised by the presence of the Circle to search feature, which I wouldn’t expect on such an affordable smartphone. And what exactly is the price? In India, the Infinix Hot 60i 5G goes on sale for 9,299 rupees, which is approximately 2,200 CZK in conversion. Looking at the prices of Infinix phones in India and on our market, theoretically, the price on our market could fall below the magical threshold of 3,000 CZK. That is, if it arrives here. Would you welcome the Infinix Hot 60i 5G on our market if it cost under 3,000 CZK?
