Foldable phones are still an expensive affair, but the Honor Magic V3 has just dropped to an interesting price. You can get it on Heureka starting from 25,911 CZK – that’s almost half of the original price tag. Yes, it’s a year and a half old model and its successor, the V5, is already on the market, but the Magic V3 still has a lot to offer.

The main draw is its 9.2 mm thickness when closed – that’s only a millimeter more than, for example, the iPhone 15 Pro Max. While the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 isn’t the latest, it’s sufficient for anything. The 5150 mAh battery lasts all day, and 66W charging recharges it in less than an hour. The cameras, with a 50MP main sensor and 3.5× periscopic zoom, are among the better ones in the foldable category. A weakness is shorter software support – Honor promises 4 years of updates compared to 7 years for Samsung.

The displays are excellent and have a more pleasant aspect ratio than, for example, the contemporary Galaxy Z Fold6. While the new Fold7 has eliminated this drawback, it costs at least 10 thousand more.

For 26 thousand, it’s one of the most affordable ways to get a premium foldable. If you don’t mind an older model and shorter support, you won’t find a better price/performance ratio among foldable phones right now.
