There are only a few days left until the official unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy S26 series at the Unpacked event, but a Dubai-based YouTuber has apparently managed to purchase the top-tier Ultra model before its final market release. Sahil Karoul reportedly acquired the South Korean manufacturer’s new flagship in one of the local electronics stores and shared his purchase on social media.

Camera Island and More Rounded Corners

The published materials show once again that Samsung has unified the cameras on the S26 Ultra into a distinct camera island, replacing the previous individually placed lenses. This change is also reflected in the design of the box, which incorporates the new visual element. Karoul acquired the white variant of the phone and compares it in photos with competing flagships, including the iPhone 17 Pro Max.

According to the YouTuber, the phone feels similar in hand to last year’s Galaxy S25 Ultra, which is not surprising given the only minimal changes in dimensions and weight. The corners are slightly more rounded compared to its predecessor, but the difference is not dramatic at first glance.

Privacy Display in Action

Karoul also demonstrated the Privacy Display feature, which had been speculated about earlier. When viewed from an angle, the screen darkens significantly, making the displayed content practically unreadable for bystanders. This is a practical gadget for those who don’t want others looking over their shoulder, for example, on public transport or in a cafe.

Unpacked in Three Days

Samsung will officially unveil the Galaxy S26 series at the Unpacked event this Wednesday. According to earlier leaks, the Ultra model should offer similar specifications to its predecessor, including comparable battery life, with the main improvement being a new chipset delivering higher performance.
