Action started selling a soundbar for just 749 CZK! You can connect it to your TV via HDMI, it also supports Bluetooth

Thin TVs look great on the wall, but their built-in speakers often sound flat, and dialogues get lost beneath music and effects. Better sound doesn’t have to cost thousands. The Action chain has started selling the Fresh ’n Rebel soundbar for just 749 crowns, which you can connect to your TV with a cable and also play music from your mobile phone.

What can the Fresh ’n Rebel soundbar do?

Action states a power output of 40 W, and the Polish server Antyweb clarifies that this is 40 W RMS, meaning continuous power, not a peak value that manufacturers often inflate. The sound is directed to two channels in a 2.0 setup. While the chain promises strong bass, you won’t find a separate subwoofer in the package, so deep tones will only be handled by the speakers in the soundbar itself.

You can connect your TV to the soundbar via HDMI, and a phone or tablet wirelessly via Bluetooth 6.0. The box also includes a remote control with two AAA batteries, and the soundbar itself is powered from the mains via a 15 V adapter, according to specifications. Action does not state whether the HDMI supports ARC, which would allow you to control the volume directly with your TV remote.

Portuguese Magazine HD and Antyweb both state that the packaging also promises optical and analog AUX inputs, which are especially useful for older TVs. However, the Czech product page only lists HDMI among the connectors, so if you want to connect the soundbar differently, it’s better to verify it directly on the box before purchasing.

This isn’t Action’s first attempt. According to Antyweb, the chain previously sold an older soundbar of the same brand, which offered only 28 W and Bluetooth 5.4 for similar money. The new generation, therefore, offers increased power and newer wireless technology for roughly the same price.

It costs only 749 CZK

The Fresh ’n Rebel soundbar costs 749 CZK and, according to the product page, can be found in Action brick-and-mortar stores in the multimedia aisle. The chain states that it stocks 150 new products every week, and the assortment changes rapidly, so availability may vary from store to store.

For an idea of the price level: the TCL S45HE soundbar with Dolby Atmos and HDMI eARC, which we recently wrote about, cost 1,869 CZK with a code, more than double the price. The Action soundbar is thus primarily suitable for a smaller TV in a bedroom, a cottage, or a children’s room, where the focus is more on clearer dialogues than a cinema-like experience.
