If you are looking for a way to monitor temperature and humidity in your home, cellar, or even a wine cellar, TP-Link has an interesting solution for you. The Tapo T315 sensor combines a clear e-ink display and precise measurement in a compact body. Clear e-ink display without glare

The main advantage of the Tapo T315 is its 7cm e-ink display, which remains readable in any lighting conditions, including direct sunlight. Large bold numbers can be read from several meters away, and thanks to e-ink technology, the battery lasts up to two years of operation. The display shows current temperature, humidity, battery status, and signal strength.

With the side button, you can switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit or swap the display positions of temperature and humidity. A minor limitation is the display range of 0 to 50 °C – negative values are only shown in the app.

Swiss sensor with high precision

Inside the sensor works a Swiss sensor with measurement accuracy of ±0.3 °C and ±3% relative humidity. Data is updated every two seconds, so you always have an up-to-date overview. The measurement range covers temperatures from -20 to 60 °C and humidity from 0 to 99%.

Smart features require a hub

Without additional accessories, the Tapo T315 functions as a regular thermometer with a display. For remote monitoring, notifications, and automations, you need to purchase a Tapo Hub – the basic H100 model costs 599 CZK, and the more advanced H200 costs 899 CZK. Only with the hub do you gain access to the Tapo app, where you can set up notifications when the specified temperature or humidity range is exceeded.

The hub also unlocks Matter standard support and compatibility with Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, and Samsung SmartThings platforms. For example, you can automatically turn on a humidifier when humidity drops below a set threshold, or activate a fan when the temperature is high.

The Tapo app offers free storage of measured data for two years and the option to export it to a CSV file. Historical graphs help track long-term trends.

Practical placement anywhere

The sensor can be freely placed on a table or shelf, stuck to a wall using the included tape, or magnetically attached to a metal surface – the magnet is integrated directly into the device body. Power is provided by two AAA batteries, which are included in the package.
