Alza has again halved the price of JLAB headphones. They feature ANC, up to 70h battery life, and a foldable design

If you missed the great deal on the popular JLAB JBuds Lux ANC headphones in the past, you now have another chance. Solid Features at an Affordable Price

JLAB JBuds Lux ANC fall into the category of over-ear headphones with active noise cancellation. Hybrid ANC uses a combination of external and internal microphones and can eliminate disruptive sounds by up to 35 dB. For situations where you need to hear your surroundings, the Be Aware mode serves to let sounds through.

Sound is handled by 40mm drivers with a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz. The headphones support Lab Spatial Audio technology for spatial sound, which can be activated via a free firmware update in the JLab app. A trio of sound profiles – JLab Signature, Balance, and Bass Boost – is also available.

Battery Life and Connectivity

The 600 mAh battery lasts, according to the manufacturer, up to 70 hours of playback without ANC, or 40 hours with noise cancellation enabled. The fast charging feature is practical – just 10 minutes on the cable provides enough power for 7.5 hours of listening. A full charge via USB-C takes approximately 2.5 hours.

The headphones connect via Bluetooth 5.3 and support Multipoint, allowing them to be paired with two devices simultaneously. Android phone owners will appreciate Google Fast Pair support for quick pairing. A 3.5mm jack is missing, but the headphones can also play audio wired via the included USB-C cable.

Design and Comfort

JLAB JBuds Lux ANC weigh 235 grams and feature a foldable design with rotating earcups, which facilitates transport. The earcups are padded with Cloud Foam covered in artificial leather. The headband is adjustable and ergonomically shaped.

All controls are located directly on the earcups and can be customized in the JLab app. The app also serves to adjust the equalizer, switch ANC modes, and update firmware.
