After the Rapture Prowler gaming chair, we’re sticking with Alza’s private label, but this time for furniture. The Rapture Aurora 300 gaming desk is 4,193 CZK with code ALZADNY30 and you get a free mouse pad – which, as you’ll soon see, is no ordinary bonus for this desk.

Quick summary:
Makes sense if you want an effective RGB desk for your gaming corner and like the illuminated glass top.
⚠️ Consider if you have a laser mouse – it doesn’t work on glass, you’ll always need a mouse pad (which, fortunately, is included in the package).
💡 For 4,193 CZK you get a spacious, stable desk with a 100 kg load capacity and a design that is hard to beat at this price point.

A desk that is a decoration in itself

The main draw is the backlit glass top with a unique Rapture pattern. Using the included remote control, you can change the color, intensity, and preset effects – in a darkened room in the evening, the desk looks truly impressive according to reviews, and the backlighting doesn’t glare even at maximum brightness. The 120 × 60 cm surface with curved edges offers enough space for a keyboard, mouse, and monitor. The steel construction without a crossbar provides ample legroom and supports up to 100 kg, so it can easily handle a monitor with an arm or a heavier setup.

Practical features: a headphone hook and cup holder save space on the desk and keep items within reach. The desk has adjustable feet for leveling on uneven floors, and the package includes two sets of foot stickers. Assembly is quick and simple according to reviewers. The backlighting is powered by a USB cable, so you can plug it into a monitor’s USB port, for example.

What the glass top entails

The most important thing you need to know beforehand: optical or laser mice do not work on glass. The sensor needs a matte surface, glass confuses it – so you cannot use the desk without a mouse pad. That’s why it’s good that a mouse pad is part of the promotion, but be aware that the mouse pad will cover part of the backlighting, which is likely why you’re buying the desk. A bit of a paradox, but there’s no other solution.

Other points from reviews: although the manufacturer describes the glass as scratch-resistant, users agree that it scratches quite easily and also attracts fingerprints and dust – you’ll often have a duster at hand. The desk does not have a cable organizer or protective film for the glass. The desk height is a fixed 76 cm – for shorter people, it might be too high, and the solution would then be a higher chair or an external keyboard tray.

Are you tempted by an RGB glass top, or do you prefer a classic wooden desk?
