A speaker for a construction site, by the fire, or by the pool? AlzaPower Quest 20 is exactly for these situations. IP67 water resistance, compact dimensions, and a price under seven hundred make it a speaker you can take anywhere. But what about the sound?

Durability as the main advantage

IP67 certification means the speaker can survive immersion in water for up to 30 minutes at a depth of one meter. Dust doesn’t bother it either, so a construction site or a dusty road is not a problem. “For that price, it’s a super speaker, for construction, travel, or by the fire,” one customer summarizes.

Bluetooth 5.4 ensures a stable connection up to a distance of 10 meters. One reviewer surprisingly reports a functional range “across two rooms of an apartment building” and problem-free listening on the balcony. The TWS function allows pairing two speakers for stereo sound.

Sound: opinions vary

Here, reviews diverge. Some customers praise: “Maybe someone is more demanding, but in my opinion, the sound and performance are sensational.” Others are more critical: “Sound quality is worse than the older and cheaper RAGE – boomy, details are lost.”

One customer even returned the speaker, stating that “it was unable to achieve sufficient volume, bass was lost, and volume fluctuated.” In contrast, another claims it is “very loud for its size.” The truth will be somewhere in the middle – for 629 Kč, don’t expect Hi-Fi, but for outdoor use, it will suffice.

Controls have flaws

Several reviewers complain about confusing controls. “When switching to BT modes, the speaker turns off or jumps to a mode where there is no BT, no MP3, and no radio,” one user describes. Another is bothered that a light effect activates every time it’s turned on and has to be turned off again. Volume control is stepped, not continuous.

Interesting detail: the speaker has a smaller battery (2,500 mAh) than the cheaper Quest 10 model (3,200 mAh). The manufacturer states a battery life of 8 hours, but in practice, it depends on the volume and the use of backlighting.

Extra bonuses

The FM radio works without an external antenna, so it mainly picks up stronger stations. The USB-A input allows playing music from a flash drive up to 32 GB. The built-in microphone serves for hands-free calls. And the backlighting can be completely turned off, which you’ll appreciate at night.

The package includes a USB-C charging cable and a strap for hanging on a backpack. Charging to 100% takes about 3.5 hours.

The original price was 1,099 Kč and now with code ALZADNY30, it costs 629 Kč. A rating of 4.4 out of 5 from 23 customers corresponds to reality – a solid durable speaker with a few shortcomings.

Do you take your Bluetooth speaker on trips, or do you mainly listen at home?
