The Amazfit brand has confirmed the European premiere of its Balance 2 XT smartwatches, which it has been selling in the USA for some time. The first reports are appearing in online stores in Spain and Italy, from where they can also be ordered to other European countries. One of the retailers has even revealed the price – 189.91 euros, which is roughly 4,700 Czech crowns.

The Balance 2 XT represents a more affordable variant of the premium Balance 2 model. Amazfit opted for a proven recipe – keeping the essentials and saving on things that the average user wouldn’t appreciate. The result is a watch that retains a premium look with a 47mm case and a 1.5-inch AMOLED display.

Three weeks without a charger is not sci-fi

The main draw remains the battery life of up to 21 days on a single charge. At a time when most competitors barely manage a week, this is still an impressive number. Of course, it depends on the usage – with active GPS and constant measurement of everything possible, you’ll likely get only a few days, but with regular wear, a two-week battery life is realistic.

Athletes will appreciate over 170 sports modes, a number that borders on absurdity – who has tried them all? What’s important, however, is that no mainstream sport is missing, and the watch can track heart rate, blood oxygen saturation, stress, and sleep quality. Everything works continuously in the background.

Where did Amazfit save?

You’ll find the difference between the XT and the standard Balance 2 version in the details. Instead of sapphire glass, you get ordinary mineral glass – still durable, but not as premium. Water resistance has dropped to 5 ATM, which means you can swim with them, but forget about diving. And golfers will be disappointed by the absence of a specialized golf app.

The case is made of fiber-reinforced polymer instead of metal, and the straps are silicone. At first glance, you won’t notice the difference, but in your hand, you’ll feel that these are lighter and less premium materials. However, for a price under 5,000 Czech crowns, this is not a criticism, but rather an observation.

Is the Balance 2 XT worth it?

In the USA, the watch sells for 199.99 dollars, so the European price of around 190 euros is comparable. The Amazfit Balance 2 XT is not a revolution, but a reasonable compromise for those who want a smartwatch with long battery life and solid fitness features without having to sacrifice family savings.

The official launch date in Europe is not yet known, but according to the price leak, it won’t be long. If you’re looking for an alternative to more expensive watches from Samsung or Garmin, the Balance 2 XT is worth considering. Just don’t expect to go diving with them or analyze your golf swing.
