Amazfit is preparing T-Rex Ultra 2 watches with brutal battery life, a titanium body, and a flashlight. We know practically everything about them

The Amazfit brand is preparing to expand its T-Rex line of outdoor watches with a successor to the Ultra model, which impressed with its durability and features for adventurers. The specifications and promotional materials for the Amazfit T-Rex Ultra 2 leaked through Italian retailer Epto, which prematurely listed the watches in its catalog. Although the listing was subsequently removed, it revealed practically everything important, including the price of 512.90 € (approximately 12,500 CZK converted).

Amazfit’s largest watch to date

The T-Rex Ultra 2 will become the largest model Amazfit has ever launched. Its 51mm diameter case surpasses even the previous record holder, the Amazfit Falcon, with its 49mm. The construction relies on grade 5 titanium combined with glass fiber-reinforced polymers (GFRP), which should ensure high durability at a reasonable weight.

The display is protected by sapphire glass, which can withstand even rough handling in the field. The 1.5″ AMOLED panel itself offers a resolution of 480 × 480 pixels with a density of 322 PPI and a maximum brightness of up to 3,000 nits. Earlier speculations spoke of MicroLED technology, but the leak confirms classic AMOLED.

Navigation and Outdoor Features

For the second generation of T-Rex Ultra, Amazfit is focusing on enhanced navigation capabilities. The watch supports six satellite systems with dual-band GPS for more precise positioning in challenging terrain. Directly on the watch, you’ll find pre-installed color maps with route planning, point-of-interest search, and automatic rerouting if you deviate from the planned path.

For mountain activities, an integrated barometer and a two-color flashlight combining white and green light will be useful. The green option is beneficial for preserving night vision when navigating in the field. 10 ATM water resistance allows for swimming and diving, although details about diving certification are still missing.

Record-breaking Battery with Month-long Endurance

Amazfit has integrated an 870mAh battery into the T-Rex Ultra 2, which is also the largest in the brand’s history. The manufacturer states a battery life of up to 30 days with typical use, representing a full month without needing to recharge. In active GPS mode, the watch will last approximately 177 hours, which is just over a week of continuous tracking.

Contactless payment via Zepp Pay will be available for European users. A microphone and speaker are also included for voice control or answering calls.

Price and Availability

The Amazfit T-Rex Ultra 2 appeared in the Italian listing with a price of 512.90 €, which converts to approximately 12,500 CZK. Customers had the opportunity to pre-order the product before the listing was removed. The manufacturer has not yet announced an official launch date, but given the leak, it can be expected to happen in the near future.
