Amazfit T-Rex Ultra 2 are coming to the Czech Republic. They have brutal endurance and can withstand even the most demanding conditions

After weeks of speculation and a recent major leak, which we reported on on Wednesday, it’s official. The Amazfit brand has launched its most durable sports watch, the T-Rex Ultra 2, on the Czech market, targeting outdoor enthusiasts and adventurers. The successor to the original T-Rex Ultra model brings several interesting improvements, including full-color offline maps and an integrated flashlight.

Titan and Sapphire for Extreme Conditions

Amazfit T-Rex Ultra 2 opted for premium materials. The 51 mm diameter case is made of grade 5 titanium, used in the aerospace industry, and the display is protected by sapphire glass. The watch meets the MIL-STD-810H military standard and offers 10 ATM water resistance with the ability to dive to a depth of 45 meters.

The AMOLED display has a diagonal of 1.5 inches with a resolution of 480 × 480 pixels and a density of 332 PPI. The manufacturer promises good readability in all lighting conditions. An interesting feature is its functionality in extreme cold – the watch reportedly handles temperatures down to -30 °C.

Offline Maps Directly on Your Wrist

One of the main new features is full-color pre-installed maps, which you can use without connecting to a phone or the internet. Simply select the desired area in the Zepp app and upload it to the watch. Contour maps with elevation data are also available, which you will especially appreciate in mountainous terrain.

For precise localization, the watch uses dual-frequency GPS with support for six satellite systems. You can plan your route directly on the watch and adjust it in real-time according to current conditions.

Flashlight and NFC Payments

The T-Rex Ultra 2 integrates a dual-color LED flashlight with white and green light. Green light is suitable for night use as it is less disruptive to peripheral vision. There is also an SOS mode for emergency situations and a Boost function for maximum illumination intensity.

The watch supports contactless payments via Zepp Pay thanks to integrated NFC. In the Czech Republic, it currently works with Mastercard cards from mBank, Raiffeisenbank, and the Curve card. Up to eight cards can be linked at once.

Who are they for?

Amazfit T-Rex Ultra 2 are primarily aimed at outdoor athletes and adventurers who need a durable watch with advanced navigation. They are suitable for hiking, mountaineering, trail running, or diving. However, with a weight of 89.2 grams and a massive 51mm case, they won’t be for everyone – if you’re looking for a discreet device for everyday wear, you might want to look at models from the Balance or GTR series instead.

The battery life with a capacity of 870 mAh reaches up to 30 days with typical use. The watch runs on Zepp OS and is compatible with Android 7.0 and later or iOS 15.0 and later.

Price and Availability

The Amazfit T-Rex Ultra 2 are available in the Czech Republic for 13,990 CZK. The package includes the watch itself with a silicone strap, a magnetic charging head, a strap attachment adapter, and a disassembly tool.
