How it works in practice

WiZ Bar are not LED strips, but two compact panels (30 cm) that you can place on a desk, stick to a wall, or magnetically attach to the back of a monitor. The joint allows rotation up to 100°. Power comes from the mains (adapter included) or via USB from the monitor. Setup via the WiZ app is simple – one reviewer describes that adding it to Apple Home happened immediately after scanning the code, without any further setup.

Both static and dynamic modes are available (Fireplace, Ocean, etc.), music synchronization via the device’s microphone, and millions of color combinations. One Slovak user even wrote their own Python script to synchronize colors with screen content – so a decent ambient effect can be achieved even without a Sync Box.
