The case with a display is not just for show

The most significant new feature is the charging case with a touch panel and display. With a slider on it, you can adjust the noise cancellation strength smoothly from zero to one hundred percent without reaching for your phone – and for the white variant, you have to open the case, while for transparent versions, you can see the display even when closed.

ANC is powered by seven sensors that evaluate the environment every 0.3 seconds, and a special feature is a barometric sensor, which adapts noise cancellation to pressure changes in an airplane.

In terms of sound, it features a 10.5mm bass driver complemented by a titanium tweeter with a digital crossover, LDAC support for Hi-Res transmission from Android, and a frequency range of 14 to 40,000 Hz. Battery life is 10 hours on a single charge and 40 hours with the case, with five minutes of charging providing four hours of listening. Wireless charging for the case and simultaneous connection to two devices are also included.

Reviewers disagree, and it’s insightful

Here’s an interesting discrepancy. The Scarbir website writes that Liberty 4 Pro have better instrument separation, more refined bass, and especially treble than the cheaper 4 NC model, calling them a reason why you no longer need to spend on AirPods Pro. In contrast, Tom’s Guide rates them critically – “tinny treble and weak bass” – adding that at their original price of around 130 dollars, they weren’t a good buy.

The key to this discrepancy lies in the price and the app. Reviewers agree on two things: the sound out of the box is tuned for pop music with emphasized treble, which can be fatiguing during longer listening sessions, but the app offers over twenty equalizers and a hearing test to customize the sound. And at the original price of three and a half thousand, the criticisms were justified – but at two thousand, the price/performance ratio changes fundamentally.

On Alza, the headphones have a rating of 4.4 out of 5 from 28 customers. Final note: Alza states IPX4 protection, while the manufacturer and foreign reviews state IPX5 – either way, it’s resistance to sweat and rain, not immersion.
