Anker has expanded its Eufy security camera lineup with the new SoloCam E42 model, which combines 4K resolution with advanced artificial intelligence features and solar power. The new product is currently sold in the USA as part of a package with two cameras and a HomeBase 3 station for $399.99 (approximately 8,600 CZK converted), but it has not yet officially arrived in the Czech Republic.

Top-tier 4K Resolution with Advanced Features

The Eufy SoloCam E42 primarily impresses with its true 4K UHD resolution, capable of capturing even the finest details. The camera is equipped with a bright lens with an f/1.6 aperture and supports pan-and-tilt functionality for better coverage of the monitored area. An interesting feature is its ability to recognize vehicle license plates up to a distance of 10 meters, which can be useful when monitoring property entrances.

For night monitoring, the camera offers built-in spotlights and strobe lights, which not only illuminate the scene but can also deter potential intruders. The equipment also includes a 103dB siren and support for two-way audio transmission for communication with visitors.

Solar Power for Year-Round Operation

A key feature of the SoloCam E42 is SolarPlus 2.0 technology, which allows the camera to be powered via a solar panel. According to the manufacturer, just 2 hours of direct sunlight per day is enough for the camera to operate year-round without needing to be recharged. This feature is ideal for locations where no electrical connection is available.

The camera, of course, also supports continuous wired power for uninterrupted recording. In such a case, it can record video continuously without limitations. The device has IP65 certification for dust and splash water resistance.

Advanced AI Without Monthly Fees

The SoloCam E42 utilizes advanced BionicMind AI technology for local image processing. The camera can automatically recognize faces, vehicles, pets, and license plates, minimizing false alarms. Users can define up to two active zones for targeted monitoring of specific areas.

Recordings are stored locally on microSD cards up to 128 GB, and when combined with the HomeBase 3 station, up to 16TB of storage. The camera supports integration with Amazon Alexa, Apple Home, and Google Home, with advanced AI features requiring connection to HomeBase 3.

Alternatives Available on the Czech Market

While we await the official launch of the Anker Eufy SoloCam E42 in the Czech Republic (if it ever arrives), several similar solutions with solar power support are available on our market. The offerings include cameras with integrated solar panels, as well as models with an external panel supplied in the package.

Among the available alternatives, the EZVIZ EB5 4K stands out with its integrated solar panel and very attractive price, while the Eufy EufyCam 3 offers the longest battery life and advanced features. For less demanding users, the TP-Link Tapo C410 KIT with an external solar panel might be interesting at a favorable price.
