Anker introduces Eufy FamiLock E34 smart lock. It recognizes palm veins and supports Matter!

Anker introduced the new Eufy FamiLock E34 smart lock, which relies on one of the most secure biometric methods available: palm vein recognition. Using infrared light, it scans vein patterns under the skin, making it impossible to spoof with photos, videos, or hand models. The manufacturer specifically states an accuracy of 99.99% (rounded) and unlocking in less than 0.1 seconds.

All biometric data remains stored locally on the device (and is therefore not sent to any cloud), ensuring maximum privacy. The lock itself is powered by a removable 10,000mAh battery, which promises a lifespan of up to 8 months.

In case of discharge, a backup 750mAh battery takes over, providing another 15 days of operation; the device can also be powered via the USB-C port in an emergency.

Eufy FamiLock E34 comes with a rich set of smart features

The Eufy FamiLock E34 smart lock also has many interesting smart features in its arsenal, such as the anti-peeping mode, which allows you to enter random numbers before or after your PIN in case someone is (in)conspicuously looking over your shoulder while you’re entering it.

It also offers automatic locking with an adjustable timer from 5 seconds to 30 minutes, or a built-in door sensor that detects whether the door is closed before locking occurs. The IP65 water resistance is also a plus; the device is dustproof and resistant to water jets from all directions.

The smart lock also supports Matter, which significantly simplifies integration with smart home ecosystems like Apple Home, Google Home, SmartThings, or Alexa. Control via Wi-Fi without the need for a separate hub is also an advantage.

In terms of availability, the Eufy FamiLock E34 is now available for a price of 279.99 dollars, which is approximately 5 890 Kč in conversion.
