A few weeks ago, Samsung enabled AirDrop support for the flagship Galaxy S26 series, finally allowing easy file sharing between Galaxy phones and Apple devices. Now, the Korean manufacturer announces the expansion of this feature to another 10 models – but there’s one significant catch.

Which phones are getting AirDrop support?

Samsung has confirmed that AirDrop via Quick Share will work on the following devices:

  • Galaxy S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra
  • Galaxy S24, S24+ and S24 Ultra
  • Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7
  • Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6

In addition, the One UI 8.5 beta program is also expanding to the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold5, Z Flip5, S23 FE, and for the first time, to the mid-range model Galaxy A36 5G.

The Catch: Beta is not available in the Czech Republic

And now for the unpleasant news. To use AirDrop, you must have the One UI 8.5 beta version installed. However, this is currently only available in India, Korea, the UK, and the USA. The Czech Republic is not among the supported regions.

For Czech users, this means only one thing – waiting for the stable version of One UI 8.5. Samsung has not yet specified when it might arrive, but considering the usual schedule, it could be within the next few months.

Are you looking forward to being able to share files between Samsung and iPhone?
