Monitoring a cottage, orchard, or remote property is a challenge with a standard camera. It needs a power outlet and home Wi-Fi, and you often don’t have either there. Arenti manages with a SIM card and the sun. The Arenti camera with 4G and a solar panel now costs 1 953 Kč with code ALZADNY30, while it usually sells for 2 790 Kč. It has never been sold this cheaply on Alza before.

Quick summary:
✅ It makes sense if you need to monitor a place without electricity or Wi-Fi, and you want a camera that automatically rotates to follow a person.
⚠️ Consider that you’ll need a data SIM card for operation, or you’ll pay extra for an Arenti plan.
💡 For 1 953 Kč, you get a rotating 2K camera with a solar panel, at a price it has never dropped below before.

The camera, which never dropped below 2 100 Kč in sales, is now 837 Kč cheaper

Alza usually sells the camera for 2 790 Kč. Although it has regularly been discounted in sales over the last year, it always stopped around 2 100 Kč. With code ALZADNY30, it now costs 1 953 Kč, dropping below two thousand for the very first time. You save 837 Kč compared to the regular price.

This is not an unknown novelty. Alza reports over 2,000 units sold; the camera has a rating of 4.0 out of 5 from 47 customers, and 70% of them recommend it.

Records in 2K and automatically rotates to follow a person

The camera records at a resolution of 2 304 × 1 296 pixels, which corresponds to 3 Mpx, or 2K. It can rotate its head by 350° horizontally and 90° vertically, covering virtually the entire surroundings. When it detects a figure, it automatically rotates and follows them. According to Alza, it recognizes people, so it shouldn’t wake you up with every branch movement.

At night, it switches to color night vision with a range of up to 10 meters, or to classic black and white mode. It includes a speaker and microphone, so you can speak to an uninvited visitor from your phone. You control the camera with an app for both Android and iOS, and it can also be paired with Google Assistant or Alexa.

Power and connectivity are key. The box contains a solar panel, a mount, and mounting hardware; the camera has its own battery and can also be plugged into the mains. It connects exclusively via a mobile network; Alza does not list Wi-Fi in the specifications, and owners confirm this. It stores recordings on a microSD card up to 256 GB, or in the cloud. The e-shop mentions resistance to rain, dust, and snow, but does not specify the exact IP rating.

What costs to expect after purchase?

You won’t find this on the product page, and several buyers complain about it in reviews. According to them, the camera has its own integrated SIM card, through which Arenti offers a data plan with cloud storage for about 8 euros per month, or approximately 200 Kč. However, there is also a slot for your own card. Several owners confirm that the camera works without a subscription with a standard data SIM from an operator.

However, the experiences are not entirely uniform. Others write that without a paid plan, the camera would drop out or fail to load the image and only started working after payment. The more pleasant news is that, according to several buyers, a 32GB memory card is also included in the package, allowing you to start recording immediately.

For comparison: in September, we wrote about a discount on the Eufy 4G LTE Camera S330, which works on a similar principle, also supports Wi-Fi, and records in 4K. On sale then, it cost 6 299 Kč. Arenti comes out to roughly a third of the price, for lower resolution and less connection flexibility.

What owners appreciate in cottages and orchards

From 32 written reviews, the same points repeatedly emerge. People praise the quick and simple installation; according to them, you can get the camera running even without technical knowledge. More owners also write that the solar panel recharges the camera even in cloudy autumn or winter weather. Praise for daytime image quality and night vision is also frequently mentioned.

According to reviews, person detection also works well. Several people state that it reliably reacts to a figure and doesn’t bother with unnecessary alarms. The other side of the coin: those who wanted to monitor animals were not satisfied because the camera lacks animal detection. Additionally, some owners report connection dropouts, where the live stream failed to load or the camera didn’t connect at all in an area with weaker signal.

When to opt for a regular Wi-Fi camera instead

If you want to monitor a yard at home where your domestic Wi-Fi and an extension cord can reach, you’re unnecessarily overpaying for 4G and solar. A cheaper Wi-Fi camera will serve you just as well, and you won’t have to deal with a SIM card or data. Before purchasing, also verify mobile signal coverage in the location where you want to install the camera, because without it, you won’t see anything from it.

And anyone who needs to monitor wildlife or pets will likely not be satisfied with a camera focused on people.

I’d get it for a cottage without power right now

Arenti makes the most sense where other cameras can’t operate: at a cottage, in an orchard, or on a property far from a power outlet and router. For 1 953 Kč with code ALZADNY30, you can get it cheaper than at any time in the last year, and you don’t need to buy a solar panel separately. Just be aware that a data SIM, or possibly a plan from the manufacturer, will add to the camera’s price. Those who have Wi-Fi and power at home will save money with a simpler camera.

Do you have a place where a camera without Wi-Fi and a power outlet would be useful?
