The Baseus brand has introduced a new outdoor security camera, the S1 Lite, which stands out primarily for its integrated solar panel for continuous power. The new product promises plenty of features at a surprisingly low price, and although it has not yet officially arrived on the Czech market, it is expected to cost approximately 2,300 CZK here (Amazon deal 1,996 CZK).

Continuous Operation Thanks to the Solar Panel

The biggest draw of the new Baseus S1 Lite camera is the solar panel integrated directly into the device’s body, which ensures continuous operation without the need for recharging. The manufacturer also considered situations with insufficient sunlight, and therefore equipped the camera with a backup battery with a capacity of 5,200 mAh. For a full charge, only 2.25 hours of sunlight per day are needed, which is achievable even on less sunny days.

Despite its compact design, the camera offers a 135° field of view, 2K resolution, and color night vision with an automatic spotlight for better visibility in the dark. It also features digital zoom with a monitoring range of up to 8 meters and IP67 protection, allowing the camera to withstand extreme temperatures and adverse weather conditions.

Smart Features Without Monthly Fees

The Baseus S1 Lite supports two-way audio transmission, allowing communication with visitors directly through the mobile application. The Baseus Security app is used for monitoring footage, receiving notifications, and setting active or private zones. The camera also supports Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa voice assistants. Recordings can be stored locally on a microSD card with a capacity of up to 512 GB.

Alternatives Available on the Czech Market

While we await the official launch of the Baseus S1 Lite camera in the Czech Republic, several similar solutions are available on our market. Some cameras have the solar panel integrated directly into the body (like the Baseus S1 Lite), while others offer it as an external accessory in the package.

Available alternatives include, for example, the EZVIZ EB5 4K with an integrated solar panel and 4K resolution, the TP-Link Tapo C410 KIT with an external solar panel included in the package, or the Eufy EufyCam 3 Single cam 4K, which also offers integrated solar power and 4K resolution.
