Best phone for 11 thousand? Xiaomi 15T is now available in a great deal, it has Leica cameras, high performance and a decent battery

Xiaomi 15T arrived on the Czech market only a few months ago with a recommended price of 14,999 CZK. During the introductory promotion, it could be purchased for 12,499 CZK, but now its price has dropped even below the 11 thousand CZK mark. For this money, you get a phone with Leica optics, a powerful MediaTek Dimensity 8400-Ultra processor, and other features typically found in more expensive models.

Cameras with Leica Summilux optics

The main advantage of the Xiaomi 15T is undoubtedly its cameras developed in collaboration with the German company Leica. The primary 50Mpx Light Fusion 800 sensor with a size of 1/1.55″ features an f/1.7 aperture and optical image stabilization. Xiaomi states a dynamic range of 13.2 EV, which corresponds to the parameters of professional cameras.

In addition to the main sensor, you get a 12Mpx ultrawide lens with an f/2.2 aperture and a 50Mpx telephoto lens with a focal length of 46 mm (equivalent to 2x zoom) and an f/1.9 aperture. All lenses use Leica Summilux aspherical lenses with an anti-reflective coating to minimize glare.

For video recording, the phone supports 10-bit LOG format in 4K at 60 fps and HDR10+ across all focal lengths. Pro mode allows importing custom LUTs for color correction directly on the phone.

Display with 3,200 nits brightness and Gorilla Glass protection

The Xiaomi 15T features a 6.83″ AMOLED panel with 1.5K resolution (2712 × 1220 pixels) and a density of 447 ppi. The display offers a 120Hz refresh rate with instant touch sampling up to 2,560 Hz in gaming mode. The maximum brightness reaches 3,200 nits, ensuring excellent readability even in direct sunlight.

The panel supports 12-bit color depth for displaying over a billion colors and a contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1. For eye protection, Xiaomi implemented PWM dimming at a frequency of 3,840 Hz and obtained TÜV Rheinland certifications for low blue light and flicker elimination. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.

MediaTek Dimensity 8400-Ultra chipset and long battery life

Under the hood, the MediaTek Dimensity 8400-Ultra processor, manufactured with 4nm technology and ARM Cortex-A725 cores, is at work. In the tested configuration, you get 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256 GB of UFS 4.1 storage. To maintain low temperatures during demanding use, the phone utilizes the Xiaomi 3D IceLoop cooling system with a graphite layer on the middle frame.

The 5,500 mAh battery is the largest accumulator in the Xiaomi T series. It supports 67W wired charging, which replenishes energy to 100% in 50 minutes. Xiaomi guarantees the retention of at least 80% capacity after 1,600 charging cycles, which corresponds to approximately four years of normal use.

IP68 resistance and premium features

The Xiaomi 15T has received IP68 certification for water and dust resistance. The phone can withstand immersion in water up to 3 meters deep for 30 minutes. The phone’s body is only 7.5 mm thick and weighs 195 grams. Three color variants are available, including the exclusive Rose Gold.

Other features include dual speakers with Dolby Atmos, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC for contactless payments, and an infrared transmitter. The phone runs on Xiaomi HyperOS based on Android with Google services integration, including the Gemini assistant.

An interesting feature is Xiaomi Astral Communication, which, thanks to the Surge T1S tuner, optimizes signal reception in various phone holding situations. After an update, offline communication up to 1.3 km without a mobile signal will also be available.

Great offer at the current price

The Xiaomi 15T represents an interesting choice for demanding users looking for quality cameras and premium features at a reasonable price. With its current price below 11 thousand CZK, it competes with phones like the Samsung Galaxy A55 or Nothing Phone (2a), while offering significantly better cameras with Leica optics and higher performance.

A drop of almost 4 thousand CZK from the original price makes the Xiaomi 15T one of the most interesting offers on the market. For this money, it’s hard to find another phone with IP68 certification, a trio of quality cameras, and a display with over 3,000 nits brightness.
