Bosch robotic vacuum cleaner discounted by more than 7 thousand! It entices with privacy, LiDAR with camera, and mop washing

A robotic vacuum cleaner with a fully automated station, which also washes itself in hot water, was until recently the domain of price tags over 20 thousand CZK. The Bosch Spotless Max Cam, with code ALZADN20, is now available for 15,992 CZK, moving it into a segment where it no longer makes sense to debate whether it’s worth considering – especially if you care about where data from your home ends up.

What Bosch can do hardware-wise

The specifications are at the top of the market. 11,000 Pa suction power is suitable for all floor types, the Carbon Power brush is designed to prevent hair tangling and, according to early users, it really works – no clumps after a week of operation. However, the star feature is the extendable rotary mop, which retracts into corners (30 mm) and works with only a 2 mm gap along walls. Edge cleaning should therefore be a thing of the past.

The Wet & Dry station handles everything – it empties dust into a 3L bag, washes mops with hot water up to 70 °C, dries them with hot air, and refills fresh water. F9 class filtration captures fine particles 1–10 µm, which allergy sufferers will appreciate. Navigation combines 360° LiDAR, structured light, and a Smart Vision camera – in practice, this means the robot recognizes objects, doesn’t bump into furniture, and carefully navigates around things like electrical cables.

Why choose Bosch instead of Roborock or Ecovacs

The hardware is indeed Ecovacs – Bosch and Ecovacs Robotics have formed a strategic partnership, and Spotless is the result. What makes Bosch different is the Home Connect app with European servers and BSI audit. You can turn off the robot’s internet access and still control it locally from the app, which is not possible with most Chinese competitors. The 10-year motor warranty is another bonus that competitors dare not boast about.

Where it’s still lacking

The Home Connect app is not yet in its full form. Weekly cleaning scheduling is missing – you start the robot manually, which is surprising for a premium vacuum cleaner. Bosch promises to add this in updates, but the current state is what it is.

One of the first Czech customers on Alza also pointed out a bizarre detail: the robot surprisingly “fears” clumps of dog hair and bypasses larger clusters instead of vacuuming them up. For owners of large dogs, this might not be ideal in the current software version. It also occasionally gets clogged, and it’s worth checking the main brush after each run. Furthermore, the station is quite large (394 × 443 × 528 mm), so make sure to allocate a piece of floor space near a wall for it.
