Bose sets the bar high. The new QuietComfort Ultra 2 offers lossless audio via USB-C and improved battery life Home News Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones (2nd Gen) arrive with a price of $449 The new model adds USB-C audio and extends battery life to 30 hours The manufacturer has launched pre-orders with delivery in October Sdílejte: Adam Kurfürst Published: 8. 9. 2025 00:30 Advertisement The American manufacturer Bose has officially introduced the second generation of its premium QuietComfort Ultra Headphones. The successor to last year’s model retains popular features such as top-notch noise cancellation and spatial audio, but adds several desired improvements, including audio transmission via USB-C cable. USB-C Audio Has Finally Arrived The biggest new feature is lossless audio support via USB-C, which was noticeably missing in the first generation. Users can now listen to music in the highest quality by connecting the cable directly to their phone or computer. The headphones also retain a 2.5mm jack with a 3.5mm adapter included in the package for classic wired connection. Battery life has been extended to up to 30 hours in Quiet and Aware modes, or 23 hours with active Immersive Audio spatial sound. The first generation offered a maximum of 24 hours. Additionally, you can listen to music while charging via the included USB-C cable. New Cinema Mode for Movies and Series Bose adds an entirely new Cinema Mode designed for watching videos. This mode spatially arranges sound and improves dialogue clarity, creating a home theater-like experience. It works with any video content on a phone or tablet. Improved ActiveSense technology better smooths out sudden noise peaks in the surroundings. CustomTune continues to automatically calibrate sound and noise cancellation according to the specific user’s ear shape. The headphones feature Bluetooth 5.4 with support for codecs SBC, AAC, and Qualcomm AptX Adaptive. Luxurious Materials and Four Color Variants The design remains similar to its predecessor, but Bose has improved the materials. Polished metal gives a more premium look, while soft padding on the earcups and headband ensures comfort during long wear. The headphones will be available in four colors: Black, Midnight Violet, Driftwood Sand, and White. Pre-orders are already open with a price of $449 (approximately 9,300 CZK), with deliveries starting in early October. The new model could arrive in the Czech Republic during the autumn, similar to the previous generation. Who are the new QuietComfort Ultra suitable for? The second generation targets demanding listeners and frequent travelers who require top-notch noise cancellation and premium sound. Movie and series lovers will also appreciate them thanks to the new Cinema Mode. With a price around 10,000 CZK, they are among the more expensive models on the market, but they offer corresponding build quality and features. Competition in the form of Sony WH-1000XM6 or Apple AirPods Max now has a strong rival. Bose has relied on the brand’s proven qualities and added features that users have long been asking for.
