At 399 rupees per month, which converts to just under 100 Czech crowns, it is currently the cheapest paid plan offered by the company. India represents OpenAI’s second largest market after the United States. Tenfold increase in limits for a fraction of the price ChatGPT Go provides users with a tenfold higher message limit compared to the free version. Subscribers can generate 10x more images and upload 10x larger file quantities. The plan also includes access to advanced data analysis and twice as long memory, which allows for more personalized conversations. The service is available on all platforms – web version, mobile applications for iOS and Android, and desktop applications for macOS and Windows. Payments can be made via credit card or the UPI system, which is widely used in India. Geographical restriction and future expansion The ChatGPT Go plan is currently limited to India only. Nick Turley from OpenAI stated on social network X that the company first wants to gather feedback from Indian users before potentially expanding the plan to other countries. We just launched ChatGPT Go in India, a new subscription tier that gives users in India more access to our most popular features: 10x higher message limits, 10x more image generations, 10x more file uploads, and 2x longer memory compared with our free tier. All for Rs. 399. 🇮🇳— Nick Turley (@nickaturley) August 19, 2025 OpenAI CEO Sam Altman met with the Indian IT minister earlier this year, where they discussed plans to create an affordable AI ecosystem. According to Altman, India could soon become the company’s largest market, which aligns with the effort to offer more affordable options for local users.
