This floor lamp costs two thousand and works great Home News The WiZ brand, part of Philips Hue, entered the Czech market in 2025 with affordable smart lighting The WiZ Gradient Floor Light floor lamp costs around 2,000 CZK, while Philips Hue Signe is three times that price It offers RGBIC technology with seven color zones, Matter support, and music synchronization Sdílejte: Jakub Kárník Published: 11. 10. 2025 10:30 If you like atmospheric lighting but find Philips Hue financially inaccessible, we have good news for you. The WiZ brand, which belongs to the same parent company Signify as Philips Hue, officially entered the Czech market this year. And among the first products it started selling here is the interesting WiZ Gradient Floor Light floor lamp. Cheap alternative to Philips Hue Signe What the lamp can do Synchronization with TV and music Plastic construction, but functionally fine How much light does it actually provide? Verdict: great value for money Cheap alternative to Philips Hue Signe The WiZ Gradient Floor Light is a 140 cm tall floor lamp with RGBIC technology that can display seven color zones simultaneously. This allows it to create a smooth color transition – for example, from warm orange to cool blue. The result is an atmospheric lighting effect that spreads across the wall at a 110-degree angle. Price? Around 2,000 CZK. For comparison: Philips Hue Gradient Signe costs around 6,000 CZK and offers essentially the same functionality. Yes, Signe has a metal construction and slightly higher brightness (2,500 vs. 1,080 lumens), but for a lamp primarily designed for atmospheric corner lighting, this difference is almost imperceptible in practice. What the lamp can do The WiZ Gradient Floor Light connects via 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and does not require any hub or central unit. Just plug it into an outlet, download the WiZ app, and within a few minutes, you have functional smart lighting. According to foreign reviews, the app is surprisingly clear and user-friendly – without annoying ads or pressure to buy other products. The lamp supports voice control via Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, which you’ll appreciate especially in the evening when you don’t feel like getting up from the couch. Even more interesting, however, is Matter standard support, which allows you to integrate the lamp into virtually any smart ecosystem – whether you use Google Home, Apple Home, or another platform. Synchronization with TV and music If you also get a WiZ HDMI Sync Box (a separate product that connects between a set-top box and a TV), you can have the lamp react to what’s happening on the screen. The principle is the same as with Philips Hue Play or Govee products; the lighting changes colors according to the dominant tones on the display. KOUPIT LAMPU WIZ The second fun feature is music synchronization. However, there’s a catch: the lamp doesn’t have its own microphone, so you have to open the app on your phone and use it as an “ear.” The music must be playing from another source – for example, a speaker. It’s a somewhat cumbersome solution that feels more like an emergency option for an occasional party than something you’d use daily. Plastic construction, but functionally fine The main compromise concerns the build quality. The entire lamp, including the base, is made of plastic, which might feel cheap to the touch. If you have pets or small children, it’s better to place the lamp somewhere where it won’t be easily knocked over. Another minor detail: the base doesn’t have rubber feet, so the lamp might slide slightly on uneven surfaces or carpets. Therefore, a smooth, flat floor – such as wood or tile – is ideal. How much light does it actually provide? The WiZ Gradient Floor Light has a luminous flux of 1,080 lumens, which is significantly less than competitors (Govee Floor Lamp Pro has 2,100 lumens, Philips Hue Signe 2,500). This sounds like a disadvantage, but in practice, it’s not a big issue. The lamp is not designed to replace the main light in a room – it’s meant to create atmospheric lighting for a wall or corner. And for that, 1,080 lumens are more than enough. For context: such intensity can illuminate a medium-sized room enough for comfortable reading. However, you probably won’t be using it for reading, but rather for watching a movie and creating a pleasant atmosphere around you. And for that, it’s perfect. Verdict: great value for money The WiZ Gradient Floor Light is a smart choice for anyone who wants atmospheric lighting but doesn’t want to spend six thousand on Philips Hue Signe. Yes, the plastic construction isn’t premium, but functionally the lamp does a great job. Color transitions are smooth, the app works reliably, and integration into smart homes thanks to Matter is seamless. KOUPIT LAMPU WIZ If you plan to also get an HDMI Sync Box and want to create ambient lighting around your TV, WiZ offers a significantly cheaper entry into the world of synchronized lighting than premium competitors. And even if you only use the lamp itself and its basic app functions, for two thousand, you’ll get more than you expected. The WiZ Gradient Floor Light is available in Czechia for 2,054 CZK (promotional price, normally 2,239 CZK). You can find it, for example, on Alza. How do you like the WiZ Gradient Floor Light?
