Hisense 85U7Q is on Alza for 26,993 CZK after applying the code ALZADNY25. From the original price of 44,990 CZK, this is a drop of 18 thousand, and in the 85″ Mini LED TV category, it is currently one of the cheapest offers in Czechia. In addition, you will receive an extended 5-year warranty and a six-month Antik TV subscription for free.

Quick summary:
Makes sense if you want a huge diagonal for your living room and are looking for a compromise between price and modern Mini LED technology. For gamers, there’s a 144Hz gaming mode and VRR.
⚠️ Consider that 352 dimming zones on an 85″ panel is not great — more premium Mini LED TVs have many times more zones. The halo effect around bright objects on a dark background will be more noticeable.
💡 For 26,993 CZK you get an 85″ Mini LED panel with 4K resolution, 144Hz gaming mode, Dolby Vision IQ, Dolby Atmos, 50W speakers with a built-in subwoofer, 2× HDMI 2.1, and the VIDAA operating system with voice control.

What you get for the price

The main draw is, of course, the 85″ diagonal — the picture is 216 cm wide and feels like a small home cinema in a typical living room. The QLED panel with Pantone certification promises accurate colors, support for Dolby Vision IQ and HDR10+ Adaptive ensures maximum quality for movie content, and Mini LED backlighting provides higher contrast than standard LED TVs. Hisense relies on its own Hi-View AI Engine processor, which adjusts picture quality in real-time according to content and handles decent 4K upscaling for older HD material.

For gamers, there’s Game Mode PRO with native 144 Hz, VRR, ALLM, and AMD FreeSync Premium. Two of the four HDMI ports are 2.1, so you can connect modern consoles like PS5 or Xbox Series X without compromise. An interesting feature is the built-in subwoofer, which makes the 50W audio system one of the better ones in this price range.

What to expect

Fair mention — 352 dimming zones on an 85-inch panel is relatively few. For comparison: premium Mini LED TVs like the TCL C8K have around 2,000 zones on a smaller 75″ diagonal. As a result, Hisense cannot control the backlighting as precisely — around bright objects on a dark background, in worse cases, you will see a halo effect, i.e., a slight luminous aura. In dark movie scenes, it’s simply not the level of OLED or more expensive Mini LED models. However, for normal TV viewing, sports, or regular movies, this is not an issue.

The second thing to consider is the VIDAA operating system. It’s not Google TV or webOS, but Hisense’s own system. Reviews praise it for its speed and clarity; the app selection is sufficient (Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, Prime Video, Oneplay, YouTube), but not as extensive as Google’s.

And one more practical thing — an 85″ TV is a really big box, so check the dimensions of your doors and elevator. Delivery is free, and Alza can carry it up and wall-mount it for an extra fee — for a TV of this size and weight, it’s definitely worth leaving it to a professional.

Would you rather go for a larger diagonal with compromises, or a smaller TV with premium features?
