To light up a book in a tent while charging your phone from the same device: exactly this kind of use is ideal for the Choetech B658 power bank. Besides an energy reserve, it has its own LED flashlight and a solar panel. On Alza, it now costs 489 CZK with code ALZADNY30, so it mainly appeals as cheap camping equipment, not as a charger focused on speed.

Quick summary:
✅ Good for: Camping and festivals, where you can use both the energy reserve and the separate light.
⚠️ Keep in mind: With a weight of 328 g, it’s not ideal for those who watch every gram when packing.
💡 For phone charging, expect a cable with a USB-A connector on the power bank side; USB-C is listed as input.

The flashlight also features dim light and SOS

The light here is not just a small battery status indicator. According to the seller’s description, you can switch between strong and dim steady lighting, a strobe, and an SOS mode. For a typical evening in a tent, the first two options are mainly important: you don’t have to use the strongest mode every time. The signaling modes are then an additional separate function.

For continuous charging, not a quick cable stop

The battery has a capacity of 10,000 mAh, and the stated maximum wired charging power is 12 W. This is the main compromise of the offer: rather than for a quick phone connection before leaving, the power bank makes sense where you can leave it on the cable longer. Part of its value lies in its outdoor equipment features, not in high charging power.

The solar panel allows energy to be replenished even without an outlet, but its exact power is inconsistently stated on the product card: 2 W in one place, 1.8 W in another. For decision-making, we would therefore consider it an additional option, not the main reason for purchase. It is more reasonable to set off with the power bank charged via USB-C than to plan phone charging according to the sun.

Would you use a power bank with a flashlight when camping, or do you carry a light separately?
