Circle to Search gets great improvements! Currently available on these models

The Circle to Search feature, used monthly by billions of queries on over 580 million Android devices, is receiving a major upgrade. Google now allows searching for multiple objects in one image simultaneously, opening up entirely new possibilities for use.

Circle an entire outfit

The new feature will find its most visible use in fashion, which, according to Google, is among the most frequent use cases for Circle to Search. If you see an outfit you like on social media, simply circle the entire figure, and the feature will automatically identify individual pieces of clothing, accessories, and shoes. For each item, it will then offer similar products for purchase.

Furthermore, Google has integrated virtual clothing try-on directly into Circle to Search. After searching for an outfit, you can tap the “Try On” button to see how the item would look on you.

Gemini 3 works under the hood

The entire improvement is based on the Gemini 3 model and its agentic planning and reasoning capabilities. The system no longer just searches for a single match, but automatically identifies important parts of the image, launches multiple searches simultaneously, and cross-references the results. The final answer then includes images from across the web for each searched item.

The interface design has also changed – the text field for queries has moved from the top of the screen to the bottom, resembling a chat interface similar to AI Mode.

Availability

The new Circle to Search features are available starting today on Samsung Galaxy S26 and Google Pixel 10. They are expected to arrive on other Android devices later, but Google has not specified a concrete date.
