The 21:9 format pays off where a regular screen lacks width: in games, when working with multiple windows, or watching movies. The curved 34″ Rapture VIDE 34VCW180 monitor with a resolution of 3440 × 1440 and a frequency of 180 Hz now costs 5,942 CZK with code ALZADNY15. Without the code, you will pay 6,990 CZK for it.

For that price, you also get a stand that can be raised and tilted, a matte surface, and four video inputs. At the time of writing, Alza had more than five units in stock.

Quick summary:
✅ Makes sense for: PC gamers who want a wider field of view and 180 Hz with adaptive synchronization, as well as people who need to have multiple windows side-by-side.
⚠️ Consider: the monitor is 81.2 cm wide, weighs 9.15 kg, and can only be connected via HDMI or DisplayPort.
💡 The code saves 1,048 CZK compared to today’s public price. Alza customers give the monitor 4.4 out of 5, but there are only ten ratings so far.

3440 pixels wide: more horizontal space

Vertically, the panel has 1440 pixels, like a standard QHD. However, thanks to the 21:9 aspect ratio, the width extends to 3440 pixels, and the image is curved so that the edges are not too far from the eyes. The diagonal measures 34 inches.

In practice, this means a browser and a document side-by-side without overlapping, or a longer timeline in video editing. In games that support the 21:9 format, you’ll see more of the character’s surroundings.

The display surface is matte, so it shouldn’t reflect a window or lamp behind you as much. Alza states a brightness of up to 350 cd/m², 126% sRGB coverage, and 92% Adobe RGB. Blue light filter and flicker-free mode are also included.

180 Hz with FreeSync and G-Sync, but without USB-C

The monitor can handle a frequency of 180 Hz. The manufacturer states a 1 ms response time using the MPRT methodology. Adaptive synchronization FreeSync and G-Sync adjust the image refresh to the graphics card, so screen tearing does not occur when frames fluctuate in a game.

On the back, you’ll find two HDMI 2.1 inputs, two DisplayPort 1.4 inputs, and a headphone output. Both HDMI and DisplayPort cables are included in the package. USB-C is missing among the interfaces, so you can only connect a laptop via HDMI or DisplayPort.

Stand raises image by 13 cm, but takes up 81.2 cm in width

The stand can be extended by 13 cm and tilted within the range of +5° to –20°. If you want to free up desk space, you can mount the monitor on a VESA 100 × 100 mm bracket. The red decorative backlighting can be dimmed or completely turned off in the menu, and the menu itself is in Czech.

With the stand, the monitor measures 81.2 × 53.1 cm, takes up 27.1 cm in depth, and weighs 9.15 kg. The energy class is G, for both SDR and HDR modes. For normal viewing, the manufacturer states a consumption of 32 kWh per 1,000 hours of operation.

Alza lists the contrast in parameters as 4000:1, but the table in the description mentions 3,000:1. For color depth, the parameters state 8 bits, while the description mentions 10 bits achieved using FRC.

Who will benefit from it for 5,942 CZK

The monitor will be most beneficial for a desktop PC owner with a graphics card that can achieve high frame rates at 3440 × 1440 resolution, and who has enough horizontal desk space. Those looking to connect a laptop with a single USB-C cable should look elsewhere.

Would you switch from a classic monitor to an ultrawide 21:9 format?
