Czech Epico released a great gadget for travelers. It supports four types of sockets and will replace your chargers

The Czech brand Epico expands its accessory portfolio with a practical travel adapter UltraBoost Universal GaN 70W EU70. This new product will appeal especially to travelers who appreciate the ability to charge their devices almost anywhere in the world thanks to integrated plugs for various socket types. With a price of 1 699 Kč and a total output of 70 W, it represents a practical companion that easily fits into a backpack or other small luggage.

Universal Solution for Travelers

Epico UltraBoost Universal GaN 70W EU70 can adapt its retractable charging pins to various types of sockets worldwide. It supports standards EU, United Kingdom, United States, and Australia, covering most destinations you might travel to. The adapter also includes a universal input, so you can use it in reverse – for connecting foreign devices to Czech sockets.

A practical feature is the built-in USB-C cable 70 cm long, elegantly stored within the adapter’s body. Together with other ports (1× USB-C and 2× USB-A), it allows powering up to four devices simultaneously. With an output of up to 70 W, it can even charge more powerful laptops with USB-C Power Delivery support.

Modern Technology in a Compact Body

The adapter uses GaN technology (gallium nitride), which, compared to traditional chargers, allows for higher power output with smaller dimensions and lower heating. The device is also equipped with several safety features including protection against short circuit, overvoltage, overload, and overheating.

The adapter’s design includes a titanium finish, which gives it a premium feel and ensures solid durability. With its compact dimensions and weight, it easily fits into travel luggage or a carry-on backpack, so it won’t take up unnecessary space.

Comparison with FIXED Voyager

On the market, we can find a similar solution from the Czech brand FIXED, specifically the Voyager Travel GaN PD 120W model, which we recently introduced. While the Epico adapter offers a maximum output of 70 W, FIXED Voyager provides almost double the power at 120 W. Both products use GaN technology and support the same types of sockets worldwide.

An interesting difference is the port arrangement – while Epico UltraBoost relies on an integrated USB-C cable supplemented by three ports, FIXED Voyager features four separate ports (3× USB-C and 1× USB-A) without an integrated cable. In terms of price, Epico is slightly more affordable, making it an interesting alternative for those who don’t need extreme charging power.
