Owners of this year’s Galaxy Watch9 and Watch Ultra 2 have encountered an unexpected problem. Many older chargers are not compatible with the new watches. Cubenest has therefore rebuilt its 3-in-1 foldable station SQS312 Pro to the Qi2.2 standard, adding higher performance alongside support for the new watches. It costs 2 599 Kč in the manufacturer’s e-shop.

The main reason for the existence of this version is simple. The pad for Galaxy Watch can handle not only older models but also Galaxy Watch9 and Watch Ultra 2, which Samsung introduced in July. The watches charge at up to 5 W. However, Samsung reserves the fast charging function for Watch Ultra 2 for its dedicated charger, so they will charge at a standard pace via Cubenest. You probably won’t even notice this during overnight charging.

25 watts with an asterisk

Qi2.2 increases phone power from 15 to 25 W. However, only Galaxy S26 Ultra will fully utilize this from Samsung phones; the S25 series or Z Fold7 remain at 15 W. Even with the S26 Ultra, it’s not a given. The phone doesn’t have magnets in its body, so you need a magnetic case, and not every case will unlock 25 W.

Adhesive rings with a template are included in the box, just like with the cheaper version. By the way, the charger can also handle iPhones from the 12 series onwards, in case both camps are mixed in your home.

What the extra 700 crowns are for

The body remains the same: brushed aluminum, two hinges, 205 grams, and a sturdy travel case. You’re paying extra for support for new watches, higher performance, and a more powerful 45W adapter in the package instead of a 30W one. If you wear Watch8 or older and your phone can’t handle more than 15 W wirelessly, the Qi2 version for 1 899 Kč is more reasonable.
