Do you own a Nothing Phone? You might be eligible for a discount you didn't even know about

When Nothing launched its first phone with transparent back and light effects three years ago, reactions were rather mixed. Today, Carl Pei’s company thanks those who believed in it from the start – Phone (1) and Phone (2) owners will receive a 250 EUR discount on the new Phone (3). This translates to roughly 6,200 CZK, which is quite a substantial amount.

The flagship Phone (3) normally costs 21,599 CZK for the 12/256 GB version or 23,999 CZK for the 16/512 GB variant. After the discount, you’ll get prices around 15-18 thousand, which is a very attractive price for this model. In one of my previous texts, I criticized the higher price, and I was far from alone.

How to get the discount? Just your IMEI

The process of getting the discount is surprisingly simple. On nothing.tech, you enter the IMEI of your current Phone (1) or Phone (2), and the system will automatically deduct 250 EUR from the price. No complicated verification, no proof of purchase required – you just enter the number and get the discount.

The approach to those who have already bought Phone (3) and also own an older model is also interesting. They are not left out – simply contact Nothing’s online support and they will receive a 250 EUR voucher, which they can use to purchase other brand products. For example, Ear headphones or CMF Watch smartwatches.

Phone (1) lost support – a reason to upgrade?

The timing of the promotion is no coincidence. Carl Pei announced last week that Phone (1) will no longer receive Nothing OS 4.0 or Android 16. After three years of major updates, it has transitioned to security patches only, which will continue until 2026. For owners of the first Nothing, this is a clear signal – either stick with the old system or take advantage of the discount and upgrade.

With this move, Nothing elegantly solves two problems at once. It rewards loyal customers who helped the brand in its early days, while also motivating them to switch to newer hardware. Phone (3), meanwhile, offers a significantly better camera, a faster processor, and most importantly, long-term software support for the future.
