Download now! A bunch of Samsung phones are getting One UI 8 with Android 16 in Europe

A few days ago, Samsung launched the distribution of the stable version of One UI 8 based on Android 16 for the Galaxy S23 series, but initially only in South Korea. The update is now reaching other countries, including Europe, where it is being received by owners of Galaxy S23 series phones and selected mid-range Galaxy A models.

Galaxy S23 finally receives One UI 8 in Europe

The stable version of One UI 8 has officially expanded to Australia, Egypt, France, Germany, Iran, Malaysia, Spain, Turkey, and Ukraine. All models from the Galaxy S23 series, including the Galaxy S23 FE, which is the cheaper variant of the flagship, are receiving the update.

The firmware version is designated S91xBXXU8EYI5, and the size ranges between 2.5 and 3.5 GB depending on the specific model. The largest package is for the Galaxy S23 Ultra (around 3.3 GB), while smaller models require less data. The update also includes the September security patch.

Mid-range also receives Android 16

At the same time, Samsung ended the One UI 8 beta program for the Galaxy A36 and released the stable version with firmware designation A366BXXU4BYI7. The 2.3 GB update is reaching Europe. This is a relatively fast process – the beta program only ended last week.

Owners of older models, the Galaxy A54 and Galaxy A34, have also received One UI 8, but so far only in South Korea. The firmware versions are A546SKSUCEYI5 (A54) and A346NKSUAEYI7 (A34). According to the usual schedule, the update should reach other countries in the coming days.

How to update manually

If you own one of the listed phones and the update has not yet appeared automatically, you can check for it manually in Settings → Software update → Download and install. Samsung distributes updates gradually by region.

In the coming days, One UI 8 should also reach the rest of the world, including the Czech Republic, where Samsung typically distributes updates with a delay of several days to several weeks compared to Western Europe.
