The problem, however, is that mops quickly get dirty, and the robot then just spreads dirt across the entire floor. The Chinese company Dreame came up with an unusual solution: a docking station that automatically replaces a dirty mop with a clean one. The Matrix10 Ultra model was introduced at this year’s IFA 2025 trade fair and is now going on sale in Europe and North America. It is not yet officially available in the Czech Republic, but given that Dreame is expanding rapidly, it probably won’t be long. How does mop replacement work? Power and Navigation at the Level of the Best Price and Availability How does mop replacement work? The Multi-Mop Changing Station docking station has a reservoir with spare mopping pads. When the robot detects that the mops are dirty, it returns to the station, where they are automatically replaced with clean ones. The station washes the used ones in hot water at 100 °C and then dries them. The entire process takes place without user intervention. In practice, this means that the robot can clean a larger area without having to interrupt its work due to dirty mops. This is especially useful in larger households or apartments with hard floors. Power and Navigation at the Level of the Best The Dreame Matrix10 Ultra has a suction power of 30,000 Pa, which is on par with the best models. It uses dual rotating brushes, which should minimize hair tangling – a common problem for robot vacuum owners. Navigation is based on a DToF sensor, which can recognize over 240 types of obstacles. The robot can climb thresholds up to 8 centimeters high (in two steps of 4 cm) and automatically lifts its mopping pads when it encounters a carpet. Interestingly, the navigation system is retractable – when the robot goes under low furniture, the sensor retracts to fit under a sofa or bed. Price and Availability The Matrix10 Ultra sells for 1,599 euros (approximately 39,000 Czech crowns) in Europe and 1,999 dollars in the USA. In some stores in the Netherlands, Spain, or Germany, it can even be found with a discount – for example, for 1,399 euros. However, there is no official distribution in the Czech Republic yet, so you can only order it through foreign e-shops, which usually means longer delivery times and warranty complications. Dreame is gradually expanding in the Czech Republic – the unique Dreame Aqua10 Ultra Roller with a roller mop recently arrived on our market. Would you buy a robot vacuum for 40,000 Czech crowns?
