DxOMark: Google Pixel 10 Pro XL has the best display. It excels in brightness and color rendering

DxOMark has just crowned a new king among smartphone displays. It is the Google Pixel 10 Pro XL, which, with its 161 points, has taken the very top of the ranking. The American giant thus surpassed the competition, including the newly introduced Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra.

Absolute number one among displays

The Pixel 10 Pro XL took first place in both the global ranking and the Ultra-Premium phone category. With 161 points, it surpassed the second-place Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra (160 points) and its younger sibling Pixel 10 (also 160 points). For comparison – last year’s Pixel 9 Pro XL scored 158 points.

The phone demonstrated its greatest dominance in the color rendering category, where it scored 166 points, taking first place in the entire DxOMark database. The display shows accurate and faithfully rendered colors in all lighting conditions – from complete darkness to bright midday sun.

Record brightness and smart adaptation

The panel boasts a maximum brightness of 3013 nits in High Brightness Mode, making it one of the most readable displays in direct sunlight. Google has also implemented new adaptive toning technology – the display automatically adjusts the white point according to ambient lighting for the most natural color rendering in any environment.

The phone received the Eye Comfort Label certification for eye-friendliness. It effectively filters blue light while maintaining faithful color reproduction. Also available is 480Hz PWM regulation for sensitive users, which must be activated in accessibility settings.

Lightning-fast response for demanding gamers

DxOMark praises the average response time of just 69 milliseconds between a finger touch and the display of a reaction on the screen. This ranks the Pixel 10 Pro XL among the fastest phones ever, which will be especially appreciated by players of competitive mobile games.

The reproduction of HDR10 videos is also excellent. The phone offers balanced brightness, contrast, and color rendering both in dark rooms and in normal daylight. Support for Dolby Vision and other HDR formats ensures a first-class experience when watching movies and series.

Minor shortcomings spoil an otherwise perfect impression

DxOMark points out a few weaker points. SDR videos would benefit from higher brightness for more comfortable viewing in bright conditions. Testers also noted visible color non-uniformities across the panel and a loss of brightness when viewed from an angle. However, these shortcomings are barely noticeable during normal use.

When the phone is tilted, a color shift occurs, which more sensitive users may notice. However, for most owners, these minor flaws will not be a problem, especially considering the otherwise top-notch display qualities.

Specifications and availability in the Czech Republic

The Google Pixel 10 Pro XL features a 6.8-inch OLED panel with a resolution of 1344 × 2992 pixels and a pixel density of 486 ppi. A 120 Hz refresh rate ensures smooth scrolling and fast reactions. Under the hood, a Tensor G5 processor is ticking, complemented by 16 GB of RAM and storage starting from 256 GB.

The camera setup includes a 50Mpx main sensor, a 48Mpx ultrawide lens, and a 48Mpx telephoto lens with 5× optical zoom. The battery has a capacity of 5200 mAh with 45W charging support. The phone runs on Android 16 with a seven-year update guarantee.

In the Czech Republic, the Google Pixel 10 Pro XL is available from 32,990 CZK for the basic 256GB version. It is available in Obsidian (black), Porcelain (white), Jade (green), and Moonstone (grey-blue) colors.
