An 85-inch Mini LED TV from LG for 35 thousand. The original price of 79,990 CZK seemed ambitious, but the LG 85QNED93 is now available on Heureka from 34,990 CZK at the lgshop.cz e-shop — 6 pieces in stock. For that price, you get a 215cm screen with Mini LED backlighting, an AI processor, and excellent gaming features. Foreign reviews agree: it’s the best LCD TV LG has ever made.

Quick summary:
Makes sense if you want a giant 85″ screen with Mini LED backlighting, excellent gaming features, and a premium WebOS system — at a price where you’d otherwise buy a 75″ competitor.
⚠️ Consider that the sound from the 40W speakers is not enough for a cinematic experience (a soundbar is a must), HDR10+ is missing, and black levels are not on par with OLED.
💡 For 34,990 CZK you get Mini LED, 144 Hz, 4× HDMI 2.1, Dolby Vision IQ, Magic Remote, and WebOS with a guarantee of 4 updates.

Why reviewers are calling it a breakthrough

For years, LG lagged behind Samsung, TCL, and Sony in LCD TVs. The QNED93 series changes that. The new Dynamic QNED Pro Colour technology replaces the older Quantum Dot system and delivers 97% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage. The Alpha 8 AI Gen2 processor optimizes the image frame by frame — recognizing content genre and adjusting brightness, colors, and contrast. Mini LED backlighting with a significantly increased number of dimming zones compared to its predecessor ensures deeper blacks with minimal blooming.

In Filmmaker Mode, the TV achieves excellent color accuracy — foreign measurements showed an average Delta E deviation below 1.2, which is a value below the threshold of visibility. Bright HDR scenes appear vibrant and natural at the same time.

Gaming on an 85″ Mini LED

All four HDMI 2.1 ports support 4K/120 Hz with VRR up to 144 Hz. Input lag in game mode is just 9.6 ms at 60 Hz. Support for NVIDIA G-Sync, AMD FreeSync Premium, ALLM, and Dolby Vision gaming is included. The Game Optimiser dashboard allows settings adjustments without interrupting the game. Playing PS5 or Xbox Series X on an 85″ screen is an experience you won’t get with a smaller display.

What to expect

Sound is the Achilles’ heel. 40W speakers are not enough for an 85″ panel — reviewers consistently recommend a soundbar. WOW Orchestra support allows synchronization of TV sound and a compatible LG soundbar. HDR10+ is missing — LG traditionally relies on Dolby Vision and HDR10. Black levels are not on par with OLED, and blooming occasionally appears with extreme contrast, but otherwise? For that price, it’s an absolute steal.

An 85″ TV for 35 thousand — would that tempt you, or is it too much for your living room?
