The best camera phone under ten thousand has dropped below nine for the first time. AlzaPlus+ members can now buy the Google Pixel 9a for 8,792 CZK; without membership, it costs 10,990 CZK. The price trajectory is clear: 13,990 CZK at launch last year, later 10,990 CZK, and now another twenty percent down. And since a monthly AlzaPlus+ membership costs 59 CZK, it’s worth getting even just for this single discount. Although a successor in the form of the Pixel a is already on the market, it brings such minor changes that the surcharge of about two thousand CZK is absolutely not worth it.

What Google sacrificed

Savings are evident in three areas: 23W charging is slow compared to Chinese competitors (expect over an hour and a half for a full battery), the display is covered only by older Gorilla Glass 3, and you cannot expand the memory – there’s no microSD slot, and no adapter in the box either. The discount applies to AlzaPlus+ members, which costs 59 CZK per month or 299 CZK per year – even with it, you save almost two thousand.
