The LOCKIN G30 lock is currently available at Alza for 3,368 CZK with AlzaPlus+ membership, which costs 59 CZK per month. The original price was 4,990 CZK, so even with the monthly membership, you save over fifteen hundred. Although it was a few hundred crowns cheaper in April, the current price is the lowest in the last 4 months.

What you actually get for that money

The LOCKIN G30 primarily surprises with everything you find in the box. In addition to the motor itself, you get a numeric keypad with a fingerprint reader and, most importantly, a Wi-Fi bridge for remote control.

The lock is mounted on the inside of the door on a standard FAB cylinder insert – you don’t need any special key or modifications. The outdoor keypad has an IPX5 rating, so it can withstand rain. Power is provided by 6 AA batteries (4 for the motor, 2 for the keypad), which, according to reviews, last several months.

What those who already own it say

Out of 82 ratings, the lock has an average of 4.4 stars, which is not bad. Users most praise the fast fingerprint reader – “lightning fast” writes one of them. Installation can be done in 10-15 minutes, and calibration is intuitive, although a few people struggled with it.

Miroslav from Litvínov reports 80% battery capacity after three months of operation, which is decent. Gabriel from Prague appreciates that for half to a third of the price of competitors, you get “excellent craftsmanship”. A company using 4 of these locks describes them as “reliable and easy to operate”.

Of course, there are also negatives. The motor is quite noisy, which bothers several users. Zdeněk from Hodonín warns that if installed from the outside, the lock can be opened with a wheel – but this is an installation error, not a product flaw. Some complain about unreliable automations and occasional outages of cloud scenarios.

The app speaks Czech, but not entirely

The lock works with the Lockin Home app, which is in Czech – partially, that is. Notifications arrive in English, and some parts of the translation are lacking. The advantage is that you can integrate the lock into Tuya/Smart Life, so if you already have a smart home on this platform, it will fit in seamlessly.

It supports Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, so you can lock with your voice. However, several users point out that automatic unlocking when approaching with a phone cannot be set up, even though Bluetooth technically allows it.

Who the LOCKIN G30 is ideal for

If you rent out an apartment via Airbnb (it is certified), the lock will save you a lot of time. You can generate one-time or time-limited codes for guests. It is also suitable for families – everyone has their own fingerprint or code, and you can see in the app who unlocked and when.

On the other hand, if you expect premium quality at a third of the price, you will be disappointed. The lock is noisier than more expensive competitors, the app is not perfect, and occasional glitches occur. However, for 3,368 CZK, you get a functional solution that frees you from searching for keys in your pocket.

It is important to know that the lock cannot just unlock – it either fully opens (including the latch bolt) or locks. If you have a knob instead of a handle, it will open the door directly. For some, this is an advantage; for others, perhaps a security risk.

Verdict: For the money, it simply makes sense

The LOCKIN G30 is not a perfect smart lock. It’s a bit noisy, the app has its flaws, and calibration can be tricky. But for less than 3,400 CZK, you get a complete package with Wi-Fi control, a fingerprint reader, and decent battery life. That’s simply an offer that competitors don’t have.

The current price applies to AlzaPlus+ members, but even with the added monthly membership fee of 59 CZK, it’s worth it. If you’re hesitating between this and more expensive competitors, try LOCKIN first – you might find that it’s more than enough for you.
