The exceptionally thin Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is starting to quietly appear in the offers of Czech e-shops. The latest addition to the premium Galaxy series, which was introduced to the world in mid-May, has now appeared in the Alza.cz assortment – so far without a price and availability date, but this may indicate its arrival on the Czech market.

The long wait seems to be over

Samsung introduced its ultra-thin S25 Edge model on May 13, exactly two months ago. While in some European countries, especially Germany, the phone was released shortly after the global presentation, the Czech market has had to wait for it. However, the listing of the product in the offer of our largest e-shop suggests that the situation will change soon.

The Galaxy S25 Edge offers top-notch features in a body with a thickness of just 5.8 mm and a weight of 163 grams, making it one of the thinnest and lightest flagship phones currently available. This aspect was the main marketing draw at its launch.

Premium features in an ultra-thin body

Let’s recall that the Galaxy S25 Edge features a titanium construction, ensuring strength despite its extremely thin profile. Inside, it is powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy with adjusted frequencies, complemented by 12 GB of RAM and 256 or 512 GB of storage. A special feature of this model is also the 200Mpx main camera, a resolution that Samsung has previously reserved only for the Ultra series and now also the Fold7.

The camera is one of the reasons why this model could appeal even to users who would otherwise opt for higher-end models in the series. However, the device’s thin profile has taken its toll in the form of a smaller battery with a capacity of only 3,900 mAh, which is less than the standard Galaxy S25. The charging power of 25 W is also rather below average for current production.

What price will it come to the Czech Republic at?

Although Alza has not yet announced an official price, based on German price lists, we can expect the phone to be more expensive than the Galaxy S25+ on our market. In Germany, the S25 Edge starts at 1,249 euros (approximately 30,800 Kč), while the S25+ sells there from 1,149 euros (28,300 Kč). Given Samsung’s usual pricing policies on the Czech market, the basic 12/256 GB version would likely be around 32,000 Kč.

Samsung chose a somewhat non-standard market launch for this model – while the standard Galaxy S25 series was available practically immediately after the announcement in most countries including the Czech Republic, the Edge model received a more gradual rollout in several waves. This could be related to the more demanding production of such a thin device or testing interest in selected markets.

We will continue to monitor the situation regarding the availability of the Galaxy S25 Edge on the Czech market and will bring you information about the official price and start date of sales as soon as they are available.

Do you think the ultra-thin Galaxy S25 Edge has a chance to succeed on our market?
