Exclusive: We have renders of POCO F8 Pro and POCO F8 Ultra in all colors. We also confirm some specifications

While this year’s POCO F7 Pro and Ultra models arrived about half a year after the launch of new-generation flagships (then utilizing Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite and MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipsets), in the case of the F8 models, the brand under Chinese Xiaomi apparently decided there was no time to wait. POCO F8 Pro and Ultra will thus have their official premiere next week, globally. Before that, we managed to obtain product renders of all color variants and a list of some key specifications.

Rebranded Chinese models are coming surprisingly soon

As with the “sevens”, POCO is first preparing to launch the Pro and Ultra models. Both are based on previously released Chinese models (Redmi K90 and Redmi K90 Pro Max), and will be priced in the mid-range and upper-mid-range segments. Both will be primarily performance-oriented, but will also boast an audio system tuned in collaboration with BOSE, as well as large-capacity batteries with fast charging.

The POCO F8 Ultra will actually be one of the first phones equipped with this year’s flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset to be available on our market – it will even precede the Xiaomi 17, which debuted in China at the end of September. The POCO F8 Pro will rely on last year’s Snapdragon 8 Elite processor (the same one that powers the current POCO F7 Ultra). Both new products will be unveiled in Bali on Wednesday, November 26, at 9:00 AM our time.

Design of Chinese exclusives remains unchanged

POCO models are usually just rebranded Chinese exclusives, and as we mentioned above, this time will be no different. However, the brand didn’t even bother to significantly modify the design this time, so the globally available phones will look practically identical to those sold only in the domestic market.

As is evident from the renders, both phones will feature an identical island on the back, providing space for the cameras (design-wise, the models resemble the POCO F6 Pro, or perhaps the iPhone 17 Pro). The main difference, however, is the presence of a dedicated BOSE subwoofer in the Ultra model, which contributes to creating a unique sound experience.

As for other design elements, both smartphones have flat side edges and a flat display with a punch-hole selfie camera. The construction itself appears to be more rounded compared to the previous generation, thus following the trend of iPhones or Google Pixels.

No less interesting are the color variants. The POCO F8 Pro will be available in black and silver, complemented by a striking light blue version. The POCO F8 Ultra, in addition to black, will also offer a denim edition with a special finish, which won over smartphone enthusiasts during the Chinese launch of the Redmi K90 Pro Max. I was probably not the only one surprised when it turned out that POCO would bring this variant to us as well.

Specifications: Telephoto lens for each model and large batteries

In addition to chipsets, batteries will be among the biggest highlights of the equipment, although both models will offer lower capacity compared to their Chinese counterparts. We can confirm that the POCO F8 Pro will get a 6,210mAh battery, while the F8 Ultra model will come with a capacity of 6,500 mAh. It is worth noting here that in the F7 series, the Ultra model was paradoxically the phone of the pair that arrived with a smaller battery. The change is now likely occurring because the Pro model offers only a 6.59″ display, whereas the Ultra variant received a 6.9″ panel. Both models will, in any case, support 100W charging.

We can further confirm that both phones will receive a telephoto lens and the HyperOS 3 overlay. They will also feature IP68 rating and Gemini AI integration.
