Details leaked from one of the domestic retailers, whose information has long been credible. Wear OS instead of a proprietary system The price won't make you happy LTE version: a question mark for now Premium craftsmanship and a large AMOLED display Two processors and long battery life Health features and EMG sensor Wear OS instead of a proprietary system The most significant change compared to the Chinese version will be Google’s Wear OS operating system. While the watches run on Xiaomi’s own system in China, the global variant relies on a platform that opens up access to the Google Play Store and a wide range of applications for users. This is undoubtedly good news for everyone who wants to fully integrate the watch with the Android ecosystem. For now, we can confirm that Xiaomi will bring the 47mm variant to the Czech Republic in two color options – Juniper Green (green with a juniper shade) and Black. The price won’t make you happy The Xiaomi Watch 5 will cost 7,990 CZK in the Czech Republic. In a way, this was to be expected, as the model was launched in China for 1,999 yuan, which is about 5,900 CZK in conversion. The Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro, meanwhile, was launched with a price of 5,599 CZK. You can currently get the Samsung Galaxy Watch8 Classic or OnePlus Watch 3 for less. The more advanced Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025), with a price starting from 8,590 CZK, isn’t that much more expensive. Google’s Pixel Watch 4 are significantly more expensive, with the 45mm variant costing 10,990 CZK. However, their smaller 41mm version costs only 8,990 CZK, which is not such a dramatic difference. LTE version: a question mark for now In China, in addition to the Bluetooth variant, there is also an eSIM version available. Users can make calls, receive SMS, or stream music without needing to carry their phone. Our primary source does not mention the LTE variant, however, according to information from the Polish price comparison site E-Katalog, it should also be available in European markets. Please take this information with a grain of salt. Premium craftsmanship and a large AMOLED display The Xiaomi Watch 5 feature a 316L stainless steel case that protects a scratch-resistant sapphire glass. The front is dominated by a 1.54″ AMOLED display with a resolution of 480 × 480 pixels and a brightness reaching 1,500 nits. The bezels around the screen are only 2.6 mm thick, giving the watch a modern look. The weight without the strap is 56 grams, and the dimensions are 47 × 47 × 12.3 mm. The watch is water-resistant up to 5 ATM, so it can handle swimming and showering. The straps are made of fluoroelastomer and their length is adjustable within the range of 135–205 mm. Two processors and long battery life Under the hood, the watch features two processors that automatically switch according to the current load. The main Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 chip, manufactured with a 4nm process, handles more demanding tasks, while the power-efficient BES2800 coprocessor takes care of continuous health function monitoring. This approach is known, for example, from the OnePlus Watch 3. The 930 mAh battery should last up to 6 days in normal mode. After activating power-saving mode, the battery life extends to 18 days. Charging takes place via a magnetic connector. Bluetooth 5.4 is available for a reliable connection with the phone. Health features and EMG sensor The Xiaomi Watch 5 offers a comprehensive set of health sensors. It includes an optical heart rate sensor, blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) measurement, and an ECG sensor for electrocardiogram readings. The equipment also includes an accelerometer, gyroscope, electronic compass, barometer, and ambient light sensor. The biggest novelty is the EMG sensor (electromyography), which the Xiaomi Watch 5 introduces as the world’s first smartwatch. This sensor captures electrical signals from hand muscles and converts them into control gestures – finger pinches, fist clenches, or tremors. Thanks to them, you can answer a call, turn off an alarm, or control the phone’s camera. More than 150 sports modes are available. What do you think about the price of the Xiaomi Watch 5?
