First info about Poco X8 Pro? Looks like another bestseller from Xiaomi

  • Poco X6 Pro and X7 Pro smartphones quickly became darlings of reviews (including ours) and customers alike
  • The simple recipe behind it was offering incredibly good features for a very attractive price
  • This formula, by all accounts, will also be followed by the Redmi Turbo 5, which is expected to emerge as the Poco X8 Pro in international markets

prvni info Poco X8 Pro Redmi Turbo 5

The Redmi Turbo series, in its home market, i.e., China, primarily focuses on achieving the highest possible performance at an affordable price. However, this does not mean that it does not evolve in other aspects. New information leaks, published by the verified leaker Digital Chat Station, may be a harbinger of this. From our perspective, the information about the Redmi Turbo 5 is particularly interesting because it can also be expected on the international market. Thus, we very likely have the first info about the Poco X8 Pro here.

Metal Frame and Dimensity 8500 Ultra

According to leaked information so far, the Redmi Turbo 5 should indeed be rebranded as the Poco X8 Pro and offer a truly decent set of features. Firstly, it is expected to feature the yet-unannounced Mediatek Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset, about which we currently have no further information, but if it follows in the footsteps of its predecessor, we have something to look forward to. The Mediatek Dimensity 8400 Ultra in the Poco X7 Pro already offered top-tier performance within the mid-range. The display of the new device should have a 6.6″ 1.5K resolution and should also be completely flat.

The information about the use of a 7,500mAh battery also sounds interesting. However, I’m a bit concerned that, given the trend of recent months, China might keep the model with this capacity for itself. We in Europe might thus again receive a model with a smaller battery capacity. The leaker then directly mentions that the phone should have a “thin and light design” with sharply cut lines. The first info about the Poco X8 Pro, or rather the Redmi Turbo 5, then mentions the implementation of a metal frame. Last year’s model still lacked this. The Chinese variant should be introduced at the beginning of next year; we do not yet have information on global availability.

What do you think about the first info regarding the Poco X8 Pro? Will it be another bestseller?
