Xiaomi has expanded its smart home offering in the Czech Republic with the new Mijia Smart Air Purifier 6. The device comes with a price of 3,990 CZK and offers an advanced air quality monitoring system along with five-stage filtration. Compared to previous models, the manufacturer has added a new PM1 sensor for detecting the smallest particles and UVC sterilization for eliminating bacteria directly in the filter.

Five sensors monitor air quality

The Mijia Smart Air Purifier 6 features five sensors that continuously monitor the air quality in the room. In addition to standard PM2.5, temperature, and humidity sensors, Xiaomi has added a new dust particle sensor for detecting pollen and dust mites. The biggest innovation, however, is the PM1 sensor, which captures particles smaller than 1 micron – these can penetrate deep into the lungs and bloodstream.

The measured values are displayed on a color LCD screen directly on the purifier. Air quality is indicated by a colored LED, so you can tell the status at a glance, even from a distance.

Five-stage filtration with UVC sterilization

The filtration system combines five different layers for maximum efficiency. The primary filter captures larger particles like pet dander and dust, while the high-efficiency HEPA filter removes 99.98% of particles as small as 0.3 microns. An activated carbon layer absorbs formaldehyde and odors, while the UVC light field eliminates bacteria and viruses. The final stage consists of a negative ion generator to refresh the air.

The filter’s lifespan ranges from 6 to 12 months depending on the intensity of use. For easy replacement, the purifier uses magnetic doors, allowing you to change the filter in a matter of seconds.

Effectively removes allergens and viruses

According to independent laboratory tests, the purifier removes 98.11% of dust mites, 98.2% of pollen allergens, and 99.31% of cat dander within one hour of operation. Thanks to the UVC module, it can eliminate 99.99% of the H1N1 virus and over 99.9% of common bacteria, including E. coli and Staphylococcus aureus.

For owners of new apartments, the ability to remove 98% of formaldehyde within one hour of operation is important. The CADR value for formaldehyde reaches 218 m³/h, which ensures clean air even in freshly renovated rooms.

Performance of 443 m³/h covers an apartment up to 50 m²

The purifier offers a CADR value of 443 m³/h for particles, which, according to the manufacturer, is sufficient to cover rooms ranging from 29 to 50 m². In a ten-square-meter room, it can completely replace the air in just 3.5 minutes. During standard operation, it can clean the air twice an hour in a room up to 87.5 m².

Despite its high performance, the purifier remains quiet, which is especially appreciated during nighttime operation in the bedroom. The removable top cover allows for easy cleaning of the fan and air ducts.

Control via app and voice assistants

The Mijia Smart Air Purifier 6 supports control via the Xiaomi Home app, where you can monitor air quality, set timers, or check filter lifespan. The purifier is compatible with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, allowing you to control it with voice commands.

In the app, you’ll find detailed air quality statistics, including measurement history. You can also set an automatic mode where the purifier adjusts its performance based on current pollution levels.

Price and availability

The Xiaomi Mijia Smart Air Purifier 6 is available in the Czech Republic for 3,990 CZK. In this price category, it represents an interesting choice for allergy sufferers or pet owners. Competing purifiers with similar features, including UVC sterilization, typically cost thousands of crowns more.
