Secondly, IP68 rating, meaning full resistance to dust and submersion in water: for a tablet that circulates around the house with children or that you take into the kitchen for a recipe, this is invaluable and an absolute rarity in this category.

The 10.9″ display with 2304 × 1440 resolution, 90 Hz, and 600 nits brightness is sharp and smooth, the body has a thickness of 6 mm and weighs 497 grams. The 8,000 mAh battery with 45W charging lasts a long day, and the microSD slot for up to 2 TB solves small storage issues, which is unthinkable with Apple. And then there’s One UI – anyone with a Samsung phone will appreciate clipboard sharing, notification syncing, and DeX mode, which turns the tablet almost into a computer.

Where it’s evident that it’s an FE model

The FE designation stands for “Fan Edition,” an “lightened” version of the flagship series – and it shows. The Exynos 1580 is a mid-range chip: it’s perfectly sufficient for YouTube, browsing, notes, and lighter games, but you’ll hit limits with demanding 3D titles. The display is IPS, not AMOLED, so blacks aren’t as deep as on more expensive Tab S models.
