WiFi 7 for businesses and demanding households. TP-Link EAP720 is a ceiling access point from the Omada series, bringing the latest wireless standard to offices, schools, or larger apartments. And at a price that won’t exceed 2,500 CZK.

The dual-band configuration offers 688 Mb/s on 2.4 GHz and 2882 Mb/s on 5 GHz – a total of 3570 Mb/s theoretical throughput. Four internal antennas with 5 dBi gain ensure solid coverage. The LAN port with a speed of 2.5 Gbit means that even your network connection won’t slow you down, but don’t look for a third band here, as with premium Wi-Fi 7 routers.

Support for 802.11n/ac/ax/be standards ensures backward compatibility with older devices. MU-MIMO enables simultaneous communication with multiple clients, and WiFi Mesh technology connects multiple access points into a unified network without interruptions when moving between rooms.

Omada: Centralized Management Without the Headache

The EAP720 belongs to the TP-Link Omada ecosystem – a platform for network infrastructure management. You can manage it via a cloud interface, a mobile app, or a dedicated Omada Controller (hardware or software). Ideal for companies with multiple branches or IT administrators who need oversight of dozens of devices.

Advanced features include QoS for traffic prioritization, Load Balancing for workload distribution, Airtime Fairness against slow clients blocking the network, and a Guest Zone for separating guest connections. A maximum of 16 SSIDs can be created.

Powering via PoE+ (802.3at) eliminates the need for an electrical outlet near the ceiling – just one Ethernet cable is sufficient. However, the package also includes a classic power adapter and a mounting kit.

Who Is It For

The EAP720 is not a typical home router. It is a professional access point for those who need reliable coverage for larger spaces, central management, and enterprise features like WPA3-Enterprise or RADIUS authentication. A small office, co-working space, cafe, school – it makes sense everywhere.

For a typical household with one router, it’s overkill. But if you have a multi-story house and want a mesh network with unified management, the Omada series is an interesting alternative to more expensive Ubiquiti UniFi.

The original price was 3,199 CZK and now with code ALZADNY25 it costs 2,399 CZK. For a WiFi 7 access point with a 2.5Gbit port, PoE+ power, and the Omada ecosystem, it’s a fair price. Customer reviews are still missing – the product is new to the market.
