The ASUS Vivobook 16 now costs 17,990 CZK with code ALZADNY30 instead of 27,590 CZK, and it comes with an Intel Core 9 270H and an OLED display.

The Intel Core 9 270H is a fourteen-core chip with twenty threads and a boost up to 5.8 GHz – in the PassMark database, it achieves a score of 28,826 points, placing it among the top 14% of all processors. In single-core tests, it even surpasses 93% of processors on the market. For comparison: Notebookcheck primarily lists it in Acer Nitro V16 gaming laptops with dedicated RTX 5070 graphics.

In practice, this means the laptop can handle tasks that office machines cannot: Full HD and 4K video editing, RAW photo export, code compilation, running virtual machines, or working with large datasets. International reviews praise the chip for remaining stable even under long-term load and not overheating excessively – the base TDP is 45 W. Furthermore, the display is a 16″ OLED with a resolution of 1920 × 1200, a 16:10 aspect ratio, and 95% DCI-P3 coverage, making it a color-accurate panel suitable for image work. It also features 16 GB DDR5, a 512GB PCIe 4.0 SSD, a backlit Czech keyboard with a numeric keypad, a fingerprint reader, Wi-Fi 6, and MIL-STD-810H certification.

Three things you need to know

First and most importantly: the laptop does not come with an operating system or a charging adapter. Fortunately, it can be charged via USB-C, so if you have a more powerful GaN charger, you’ll be fine. The real price is therefore higher than it appears at first glance, and it’s fair to factor that into your budget.

Secondly: the memory sits in a single slot, so 16 GB DDR5 runs in single-channel mode, which noticeably hinders performance for integrated graphics. The good news is that the slot is accessible – a second module cannot be added (the board only has one), but you can replace the existing one with a larger one. Thirdly, the graphics are integrated Intel, so this laptop is not for gaming; its strength lies purely in the processor.
