Galaxy A26 in a huge sale! For 4.5 thousand, you get a nice display, 4K video, and 6 years of support Home News Samsung Galaxy A26 dropped to a record 4,495 CZK on Heureka, a 36% decrease from its original price For this price, it offers an AMOLED display, 4K video, and decent performance around 550 thousand points in AnTuTu In the sub-5 thousand category, it's one of the best-equipped phones with 6 years of update support Sdílejte: Jakub Kárník Published: 24. 9. 2025 04:30 Advertisement When Samsung introduced the Galaxy A series in March, the base model A26 with a price of 6,999 CZK seemed a bit hesitant. It wasn’t bad, but for seven thousand, competitors already offered more interesting phones. But now, after half a year on the market, the Galaxy A26 is selling on Heureka for as low as 4,495 CZK. And that’s a completely different story. However, it’s important to note that for such a price, you’ll get a phone from EU distribution, so any potential warranty claims will need to be handled directly with the seller. For less than four and a half thousand, you suddenly get a phone that rather wins in this price category. A 36 percent drop from the original price is not unusual for Samsung, but this time it moved the phone into a segment where it truly excels. What you actually get for that money The Galaxy A26 is not some heavily stripped-down budget phone. It has a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The display isn’t the brightest on the market, but the colors are vibrant and the contrast is excellent. Performance is provided by the Exynos 1380 processor, which achieves 550-600 thousand points in the AnTuTu benchmark. It’s no asphalt ripper, but it’s more than enough for smooth system usage. One UI handles without major stutters, apps launch quickly, and multitasking is also usable. Less demanding games (like PUBG Mobile) run at medium details at 40 fps, which is decent for this price. KOUPIT GALAXY A26 V AKCI Samsung packed 6 GB of RAM and 128GB of storage into the base version, which you can expand with a microSD card by up to 2 TB. This is actually a paradox – the cheaper Galaxy A26 supports memory cards, while the more expensive A36 and A56 models do not. A camera that surprises – especially with its price The main 50Mpx camera with optical stabilization was average at its original price. But for the current 4.5 thousand, it’s above average. In daylight, it takes clean photos, colors are pleasant, and sharpness is sufficient. At night, it’s not spectacular, but OIS helps keep images usable even in poorer light. The biggest trump card, however, is 4K video recording at 30 fps. This is something you practically won’t find in this price category. The quality of 4K footage isn’t top-notch, but it’s more than sufficient for social media or family videos. The wide-angle 8Mpx lens is only usable in daylight; the 2Mpx macro is more for show. But honestly – for this price, I’d be happy with even a single functional camera, so two usable ones are a bonus. Battery life and charging without surprises The 5,000 mAh battery reliably lasts all day. With a 120Hz display refresh rate, you’ll get 5-6 hours of screen-on time, which isn’t a record, but it’s enough for a day. 25W charging is slow; it takes an hour and a half from zero to one hundred percent, and you have to buy the charger separately. KOUPIT GALAXY A26 V AKCI A nice bonus is the IP67 certification, so the phone will survive a drop into water or use in the rain. This is something many cheaper phones don’t offer at all. Software like a flagship (almost) Galaxy A26 runs on Android 15 with One UI 7 and will receive an update to One UI 8 later this year. You get the same environment as flagship models, just without advanced AI features. Basic Circle to Search from Google is present, as are simple AI photo edits. Most importantly, there’s the promise of 6 major Android updates and 6 years of security patches. This means support until 2031. Compromises you need to consider For 4.5 thousand, you naturally won’t get a perfect phone. The mono speaker sounds tinny and isn’t ideal for watching videos. Vibrations are dull and unresponsive. The selfie camera still has an outdated teardrop notch, which feels like it’s from 2019. KOUPIT GALAXY A26 V AKCI The side-mounted fingerprint reader works reliably but isn’t as comfortable as in-display readers. The 3.5mm jack is also missing, which Samsung omitted from all A-series models. Verdict: Unbeatable for 4.5 thousand The Samsung Galaxy A26 was an average phone at its original 7 thousand. At the current 4,495 CZK on Heureka, however, it’s a completely different story. For this price, you get an AMOLED display, 4K video, decent performance, and 6 years of updates. That’s a combination no one else offers. Would you buy the Galaxy A26 at its current price?
